Artists create realistic beached whale along Paris' Seine
Parisians and tourists were shocked to find the corpse of a beached whale lying on the side of the Seine across from the famous Notre Dame.
It turned out not to be a real beached whale but a realistic piece of artwork by the Belgian artists, Captain Boomer.
The group of artists have staged seven other “beachings” in cities across Europe.
On the artists’ website, the confronting and realistic artworks are a “gigantic metaphor for the disruption of our ecological system.”
The video shows the whale lying on the edge of the Seine with the Notre Dame in the distance.
