The optical illusion that makes drivers slow down
Instead of asking drivers to slow down, optical illusions have been created in various countries to trick drivers into altering their speed.
In Iceland, a town has painted a crosswalk illusion on the sidewalk to confuse drivers, forcing them to immediately reduce their speed.
The clever illusion makes the crossing look like it has 3D bars that would rip up the bottom of a vehicle. In reality, it is just the perspective of the painting.
In Vancouver, they have also used the trickery of optical illusions to reduce speed.
What do you think of this new road trend? Do you think it is a clever way to reduce drivers’ speed? Let us know in the comments below.
