We’d laugh at the plasticine aliens now but when this movie came out we were on the edge of our seats.

The Mummy (1959)
Sure, the 1999 version had heap of special effects but this cult classic is still terrifying.
The Town That Dreaded Sundown (1976)
The sequel released in 2014 was scary, but you can’t beat this slasher classic.

Keep an eye out for the Frankenstein story’s latest incarnation, Victor Frankenstein, a film featuring Harry Potter star Daniel Radliffe. It’s due to hit cinemas at the end of 2015.
