71-year old Cher wears Turn Back Time replica outfit at music awards
She had a hit single in the 80s called If I Could Turn Back Time – and it seems that 71-year-old Cher has managed to do exactly that.
The septuagenarian pop star celebrated her 71st birthday by rocking out in the skimpiest of outfits at the 2017 Billboard Music Awards.
She performed 1998 hit Believe in a barely-there nude bikini and beaded outfit. She then followed it with her 1989 smash If I Could Turn Back Time, wearing strappy leotard similar to the outfit she wore for the song's video, complete with massive curly black wig and thigh-length boots.
I will never get to see @cher in concert, unless there is a millionth farewell tour 😂, but what a goddess! 71! DAMN! pic.twitter.com/xaqz0NUPLa

On accepting the Billboard Music Icon award, Cher paid tribute to her mum.
"I want to thank my mom because when I was really young, my mom said, 'You're not going to be the smartest. You're not going to be the prettiest. You're not going to be the most talented. But you're going to be special,"' she said. "And when I met Sonny, he said the same thing. And there was really nothing about me that led anyone to believe that I was going to be special."
"I think luck has had so much to do with my success," she said. "I think it was luck and a little bit of something thrown in."
