Before she was a world-famous pop star, this Aussie success story was a regular schoolgirl living in 1970’s Melbourne.
The pop star shared this family photograph on Instagram this week, showing her as a fresh faced 11-year-old cuddling the family cat.
The singer captioned the photo, “There’s been a lot of talk about the ‘70s this week with #swingingsafarimovie so I thought I’d #tbtback to then!!!”
Can you work out who it is? It is none other than Australia’s “singing budgie” and Neighbours star, Kylie Minogue!
The singer and actress is busy promoting her new film Swinging Safari, which is set in Australia in the ‘70s.
The film, directed by Stephan Elliott of The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert fame, features an all-star cast including her fellow Neighbours co-star Guy Pearce, Offspring’s Asher Keddie, Julian McMahon, Radha Mitchell and Jeremy Sims.
Kylie is getting back to her acting roots after several decades focused on her music career. She spoke to Yahoo7 Be about coming back to acting.
“I always get a little bit terrified because I don't do it very often but, on the other hand, I feel [at] home,” she is reported as saying.
Swinging Safari will be released in Australian cinemas in January 2018.
