Bindi Irwin shares emotional tribute to her mother Terri
The Irwin family have proven just how strong their bond is since Steve Irwin was taken from them in a devastating underwater accident.
On Tuesday, Bindi Irwin gave fans a glimpse into the special family bond after she shared an emotional tribute to her mother Terri.
The 19-year-old called her mother the “extraordinary light of my life” in a touching message shared alongside a picture of the two.
The photo shows the pair sharing a sweet moment, smiling at the camera as they eat pannacotta and fruit while Terri enjoys a glass of champagne.
In the photo, the duo are both wearing denim and Terri is wearing a hat with the logo of Australia Zoo on it.
“Thankful every day to have the most beautiful mum in the world," Bindi said of her American-born mum.
“She is always such an extraordinary light in my life.”
The photo touched fans hearts as they responded with encouraging messages about the family, including Steve who died in 2006 from a stingray barb.
“Always so impressed with your mom ... I bet she was the rock and guiding force of your family when your dad was alive and even moreso after he passed, having to be the only parent," a fan wrote. “You three are lucky to have each other!!”
Bindi has grown up before Australia’s eyes, with her father gaining an international following before he passed away.
Recently, Bindi was forced to deny rumours that she was engaged to her 21-year-old boyfriend Chandler Powell.
Bindi’s representative told Daily Mail Australia, “'He didn't propose. This is another false tabloid report from New Idea."
