Nanny caught on hidden camera throwing baby
A mother has lived every parent’s worst nightmare after she found footage of her nanny abusing her baby.
Annemarie Theron started becoming suspicious of her nanny after noticing some bruises on her nine-month-old daughter Laila.
Although the nanny had come highly recommended by friends and family, Annemarie and her husband soon noticed their daughter seemed afraid of the nanny.
They set up a hidden camera to monitor the minder and what they saw will strike fear into any person’s heart.
Shockingly, the very day that Annemarie set up the hidden camera, she caught the nanny holding Laila by one arm and violently tossing her face-first into her crib.
“It was very emotional watching it. I refused to sleep, eat or drink for a couple of days afterward,” Annemarie, who lives in Namibia, told Netwek24.
The nanny has since been arrested and charged with child abuse and attempted murder.
Although Laila wasn’t injured by the incident, Annemarie is still haunted by what happened.
“It’s difficult to imagine how long this has been going on for. I can see Laila is so, so broken after everything,” she said.
After posting the camera footage on Facebook, Annemarie wrote, “My precious baby Laila Danae please know we love you endlessly and we are SO SO sorry for what you have been through!!”
“We thank the Lord for His protection and faithfulness, that you are still alive and still such a shining ray of light to so many people - you are so loved!!”
