Although there’s no sighting of Baby Sussex (yet!), that hasn’t stopped those close to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex from getting their gift sorted early.

Oprah Winfrey has already picked out her present for Baby Sussex, which she shared with Access Hollywood.

“I have a standard gift that I do for people that I really care about,” Winfrey said.

“So I don’t know the baby’s name or the baby’s gender, but this baby will have enough books to last a lifetime!”

She was referring to the personalised, hand-carved bookcases she’s gifted friends previously, such as former A Wrinkle in Time cast-mate Mindy Kaling.

Kaling explained in an interview with USA Today just how extravagant the bookcase is.

"They [the delivery men] arrived with a hand-carved bookcase, prettier than any professional dollhouse you had ever seen, that contained a hundred of the classic essential books in children's literature," Kaling explained.

As Kaling’s child is named Katherine, Oprah made sure to include a special detail.

"Each book has 'Katherine's Book Club' on it,” said Kaling.

Winfrey also revealed in another recent interview with Entertainment Tonight that she is proud of the Duchess for her decision to keep her pregnancy and birth private.

“Oh my God! I'm so proud of her decisions," Oprah said.

"To be able to stand up and say this is what I really want for my baby and my family and now I'm going to do it a different way when it's been done that way for a thousand years? I'm just so proud of her.”

Oprah continued to express her praise for Duchess Meghan, saying:

"Who is ready to walk out and stand before the world and put that face on, you know, a day after you've had a baby? So I think for her and him – I'm sure it was a mutual decision for the two of them – I think it's a great thing."
