“Life is fragile”: Man sparks ire with late night punch
Video footage of a late night fight has seen a UK man become the target of fierce criticism, after he attempted to hit another reveller in the back of the head.
The clip of the fight, which seems to have involved several people shows a man in a yellow hoodie bracing himself to throw a punch at the back of another man’s head.
But, his chequered-shirt-wearing target bent over to pick something up at the last second, with the man in the yellow hoodie hitting nothing but air before spinning straight to the ground and landing flat on his back.
The clip was originally posted on Snapchat and shows a timestamp of 3.36am, though it’s unclear where it was filmed.
When it began circulating on other platforms, a Twitter user who shared it posted the clip with the caption, “Got to love Worcester”.
Other users pointed out how dangerous it could have been if the punch had landed - and how serious the consequences could have been.
“These people need to learn why punches to the back of the head (rabbit punches) are illegal in boxing,” one said.
“Easily end up on a manslaughter charge behaving like that.”
“Lucky he missed. A punch to the back of the head could of ended (sic) the other man’s life,” another wrote.
“Made me REALLY angry seeing this, he could have killed him quite easily if connected,” a third commented.
“These drunken morons don’t think. Life is fragile.”
