The secret behind Prince Charles and Camilla’s marital bliss
According to palace insiders, not only do Prince Charles and Camilla Parker Bowles have separate beds – they actually have three separate bedrooms in Clarence House. Meaning a bedroom for him, a bedroom for her and a bedroom they share.
A friend of the couple told the Daily Mail: “His Royal Highness has a room with a double bed, decorated to his own taste, then Camilla has her own room with a double bed, decorated just the way she likes it.
“In addition, they have a shared bedroom with a double bed that they can use whenever they like. The arrangement suits them perfectly.”
In days gone by, couples did have their own bedrooms (according to the Daily Mail, the Queen and Prince Philip still do). But over time (and with rising house costs) there tends to be just one master bedroom in most homes.
Despite this, the dailytelegraph.com.au revealed that according to the US National Sleep Foundation, one in four couples in America admit to sleeping separately.
Do you think Prince Charles and Camilla’s happy marriage is because they sleep apart? Do you and your partner sleep in separate rooms? We would love to hear your story in the comments.
