"So utterly devastated": Friends cast break silence
The cast of Friends have broken their silence on Matthew Perry's tragic passing over the weekend.
His co-stars Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc and David Schwimmer, issued a joint statement to People Magazine on Tuesday.
"We are all so utterly devastated by the loss of Matthew. We were more than just cast mates. We are a family," the statement read.
"There is so much to say, but right now we're going to take a moment to grieve and process this unfathomable loss."
"In time we will say more, as and when we are able."
"For now, our thoughts and our love are with Matty's family, his friends, and everyone who loved him around the world."
The statement was signed by the cast.
A few other Friends co-stars had previously paid tribute to the actor, Maggie Wheeler andMorgan Fairchild, were among them.
Maggie Wheeler, who played Chandler's on-again, off-again girlfriend, Janice wrote:
"What a loss. The world will miss you Matthew Perry. The joy you brought to so many in your too short lifetime will live on. I feel so very blessed by every creative moment we shared. ♥️"
While Morgan Fairchild, who played Chandler's mother, Nora Bing, said she was "heartbroken" by the untimely loss of her "son".
