10 of ABBA’s most fabulous outfits
From sequin jumpsuits to go-go boots, and even garments made entirely out of aluminium foil, ABBA sure have come out with some ridiculous outfits of the years. The Swedish popgroup’s collective efforts to remain weird and wonderful earned them a spot in both music and fashion history.
Interestingly enough, there’s a very business savvy reason behind the bands creative wardrobe choices. As revealed in the documentary ABBA: The Official Photo Book, they exploited a Swedish law that rendered all work clothes tax deductable if you could prove that they were never used for daily wear. So, unless Anni-Frid did her food shopping in that snake-skin one piece, they claimed back quite a lot of expenditure over the years.
