Bindi Irwin shares emotional tribute to Robert on his 17th birthday
Robert Irwin is celebrating his 17th birthday, and his older sister Bindi has paid homage to the teen croc hunter the best way she knows how.
While Bindi has reached the halfway milestone in her pregnancy, it didn’t stop her from penning an emotional tribute to her brother on his special day.
"Happy birthday to my amazing brother! Your kind heart and fantastic sense of humour makes my every day," she wrote alongside some photos of Robert walking her down the aisle at her wedding in March.
"Our baby girl is going to love her 'funcle' [fun uncle] so very much. You're one of the brightest lights the world has ever seen. I'll always be here for you. Love you!"
Robert replied to his sister's message in the comments section writing, "Bindi!! Thank you so much, I am so lucky to be your brother and about to be a funcle. love you heaps!"
Bindi's husband Chander Powell also wrote his own sweet message to his brother-in-law.
"Wishing a happy 17th birthday to my awesome brother-in-law," he wrote.
"Whether it's going for a surf, feeding a crocodile or late night spotlighting I'm always grateful for all of the adventures we have! Can't wait to celebrate with you today, Robert."
Terri Irwin changed it up slightly and took to Twitter to share her own message alongside a photo of Robert at four-years-old.
"I remember the hollow tree that was your castle when you were four. Today you are seventeen," she captioned two images of Robert at four and seventeen.
"May the simple things in life always bring you happiness. Every day you make me happy. And proud. And I will love you beyond forever."
