Cathy Freeman's daughter following in her FAST footsteps
Ruby Anne Susie Murch, the daughter of Aussie Olympic legend Cathy Freeman, has stunned onlookers after smashing the field in a district school carnival in Victoria.
The youngster with the world-class pedigree easily took out first place in her age group's 200m race. Her relaxed running style had the crowd shocked, with those trackside comparing it to her famous mum.
Freeman of course snagged Olympic gold in the 400m final at the Sydney games in 2000, launching her to instant stardom around the world.
Freeman's daughter also competed in the 100m sprint, relay and high jump at the same carnival at the Murrumbeena athletics facility.
Footage shows the 11-year-old sprinting ahead of her classmates in the 200m, crossing the finish line comfortably ahead of fellow competitors and coming in first place.
Freeman, who is married to stockbroker James Murch, is famously private about her personal life.
