Pippa Middleton pays tribute to family members as baby name is finally revealed
The secret’s out, as the name of the baby boy welcomed by Pippa Middleton and husband James Matthews has been released.
And there’s a touching story behind it, as according to The Sun, the couple chose to pay homage to many family members – including Pippa’s brother-in-law Prince William.
Pippa chose to give birth at the same location as her famous sister, the Duchess of Cambridge, as her little boy was born at the prestigious Lindo Wing in St Mary’s Hospital, London. The same place her royal niece and nephews were born.
According to The Mail on Sunday, the one-month old boy has been named Arthur Michael William Matthews.
While the name William sounds familiar, the first middle name is considered to be named after Pippa’s father Michael.
Michael is also the name of James’ brother who tragically passed away at the age of 23 during his journey to climb Mount Everest in 1999.
The couple announced that they were expecting their first child in June of this year.
The little boy is already well connected, as he’s the cousin of Princes George and Louis and Princess Charlotte.
When the news was announced, Kensington Palace responded with a statement saying: “The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are thrilled for Pippa and James.”
