Princess Diana's niece finally reveals baby daughter's name
Princess Diana's niece, Lady Kitty Spencer has finally revealed the name of her daughter, almost four months after confirming her arrival on Mother's Day in the UK.
The notoriously private royal took to Instagram to share a black and white photo of her sitting by a window, while holding her daughter.
The new mum was pictured kissing her daughter's head as she stared out the window.
"Athena watching the world go by," she captioned the photo, with a white heart emoji.
Royal fans were quick to share their delight and the chosen name.
"Such a beautiful name!" one wrote.
"What a beautiful name and photo," another added.
"Athena is so gorgeous!! Like her mama," a third commented.
Kitty, who is the late Princess Diana's niece and daughter of Diana's brother Earl Charles Spencer, shared the post over the weekend.
She announced the arrival of her first child with husband Michael Lewis, earlier this year.
"It's the joy of my life to be your mummy, little one. I love you unconditionally. Happy Mother's Day to those who celebrate today," she wrote at the time.
She had kept her pregnancy private, and many were surprised to learn that she was a mum.
Athena was reportedly born in late 2023.
