Royal baby joy as Princess Eugenie's due date revealed
Princess Eugenie and her husband Jack Brooksbank will be welcoming their child in just a matter of weeks, according to a new report.
Hello! magazine claims that the pair will welcome their first child in mid-February.
This is the first indication of a due date since Eugenie's pregnancy was announced in September, with a sweet Instagram post making the announcement.
The Instagram post was a photo of a pair of baby booties, with the caption "Jack and I are so excited for early 2021".
The magazine claims that Eugenie has been nesting at Frogmore Cottage, which is the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's home on the Queen's Windsor estate.
There's no bad blood between the royals, with it being Harry's suggestion that they take over the cottage.
"Eugenie and Harry have always been close and they chat privately all the time," a friend tells HELLO!.
"It was Harry who suggested she and Jack could use Frogmore Cottage because it is much bigger than their cottage at Kensington Palace. It is a case of one family member reaching out to another."
The new baby royal will be the first grandchild in the York family and the ninth great-grandchild for the Queen and Prince Philip.
The baby isn't expected to receive a royal title but will sit in 11th place in the line of succession.
Sarah Ferguson was thrilled about Eugenie's pregnancy and said that she can't wait to be a "grandmother".
"‘I am so excited by the news that Eugenie and Jack are expecting their first child. Thrilled for them both and in my 60th year cannot wait to be a grandmother," she said.
"Welcoming a new baby into the York family is going to be a moment of profound joy," she added.
