Easy steak sandwich
If you’re preparing lunch, dinner or even a hearty breakfast you can’t do much better than a steak sandwich. Make sure you’ve got hands free because this dish deserves two thumbs up!
Ingredients:
- Two teaspoons butter
- Two teaspoons olive oil
- Red onion, sliced into rings
- Two thick filled steaks, approximately 125g each
- Four thick slices of bread or two bread rolls
- Two iceberg lettuce leafs
- One tomato
Method:
- Add butter and oil in a large frypan over high heat.
- Add onions and fry for three to four minutes, then push to one side of the pan.
- Add steaks and cook for one to two minutes on each side. Season with salt and pepper if you like. Your steaks should end up browned, but still pink in the centre.
- Remove pans from heat, then allow to rest for a minute or so.
- Toast bread or bread rolls then divide ingredients (including tomato and lettuce) between.
- Season and add any sauce/chutney according to your tastes.
