Garlic pizza
For the perfect starter to any Italian feast, you’ll want to try this garlic pizza.
Serves: 6
Ingredients:
- 3 cups plain flour, sifted
- 2 teaspoons dried yeast
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 ¼ cups warm water
- 3 garlic cloves, diced
- ½ cup olive oil, plus extra to brush
- 1 tablespoon fresh rosemary, chopped
- Salt and pepper, to season
Method:
1. Mix flour, yeast and salt in large bowl. Make a well in the centre and gradually pour water and one tablespoon of oil. Using your hands, combine the mixture until dough forms. Place on lightly floured surface and knead dough until smooth and elastic. Store dough in covered bowl and set aside for an hour or until dough has risen in size.
2. Meanwhile, combine olive oil, garlic and rosemary together in bowl. Season with salt and pepper. Let sit so flavours infuse.
3. Preheat oven to 220°C. Grease baking trays with olive oil.
4. Divide dough into 6 portions and roll each out to equal-sized discs. Sprinkle with olive oil mixture and bake in oven for 10 minutes or until pizza is crisp and puffed. Cut into wedges and serve with salad.
