Home-made maple syrup
Maple syrup is a must have ingredient for pancake mornings, but it also goes well with pikelets, bacon and even popcorn. This recipe is so simple and delicious; you’ll never go store bought again.
Ingredients:
- 2 cups white sugar
- 1 cup boiling water
- ½ teaspoon maple flavoured extract
Method:
- In a heated saucepan, combine sugar and water.
- Cook and stir until sugar is dissolved. Remove from heat, and stir in maple flavouring.
- Take off the cool and pour into squeeze bottle.
- Serve drizzled over pancakes or your preferred meal!
