Jam tarts
An old favourite, cheap to make and such a pretty little treat. This is a great recipe to make with the grandkids.
Ingredients:
For the sweet pastry
- 250g plain flour, plus extra for dusting
- 250g icing sugar
- 125g unsalted butter, softened
- Pinch of sea salt
- 1 large egg
- 1 orange or lemon
- Splash of milk
For the fillings
- 30 heaped teaspoons of your favourite jams, curds or marmalades
