Macadamia, date and chocolate torte

This macadamia, date and chocolate torte is yummy, an absolute cinch to make and is guaranteed to become a favourite in no time. Try this recipe today!

Method:

  1. To begin, preheat your oven to 180°C.
  2. Using a food processor, coarsely chop the dark chocolate and macadamias separately.
  3. Grease and line the base of a 22cm spring-form tin.
  4. Using electric beaters, beat egg whites until stiff peaks form.
  5. With the motor still running, gradually add the sugar, a little at a time, beating continuously for about three minutes, until the mixture is thick and glossy.
  6. After this fold in the dates, chocolate and macadamias.
  7. Pour mixture into the prepared tin and smooth the top.
  8. Place on the middle rack of the oven and bake for 45 minutes.
  9. Turn off the oven and leave torte in it to cool completely.
  10. Remove torte from the oven and allow to stand in the tin for at least four hours.
  11. Remove from the tin and place on a serving plate.
  12. Top with the whipped cream and macadamias.
