Miso soup

Looking for a warming soup? Miso is the perfect salty, savoury broth, dotted with seaweed and silky tofu to keep you cosy.

Ingredients:

Method:

  1. Put the dashi in a large saucepan over medium heat and bring to a boil.
  2. Reduce heat to low before adding the seaweed and cook for 1 minute or until seaweed softens.
  3. Add the tofu and cook for a further 1 minute or until tofu is cooked through.
  4. Place the warm miso paste in a small bowl. Add a little of the dashi, stirring until the miso dissolves.
  5. Add the miso mixture to the saucepan and gently stir to combine. Bring to a simmer. remove from heat.
  6. Ladle miso evenly among serving bowls. Sprinkle with green onions and serve piping hot immediately.
