“Paintbrush stroke” cake is what happens when art meets food
Once reserved for canvasses, the art of painting has made its way into the kitchen. Yes, the “paintbrush stroke” is the latest trend in cakes.
Pioneered by Russian bakery Kalabasa, the technique involves painting stroke-like shards of melted chocolate, which are frozen and then stuck into the soft icing on the cake.
The result is an edgy and angular cake, where art meets food.
