Ninety-six-year-old Margie Hall kindly shares an old favourite that she’s been making for years – the classic rock bun.
Ingredients:
- 115g butter
- ¼ cup caster sugar
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1 cup plain flour
- ½ cup walnuts
- ½ cup dates
- ½ cup sultanas
- ¼ teaspoon carb soda in ½ teaspoon boiling water
