How the Queen really feels about the Harry and Meghan interview
A royal insider has shared how the Queen is really feeling about the bombshell Oprah interview with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, saying she's "sad" but "not angry".
The insider told The Sun that she has pledged privately to stand by her grandson.
“She is not angry, she is just sad. They have always worried about him (Harry) and the Queen feels very protective about him," the insider shared.
“They always tried to support him when Meghan came along. They all worried less about him when Meghan was on the scene as he seemed so happy.”
When contacted, Buckingham Palace did not want to comment.
Prince Harry told Oprah that he had been in touch with his grandmother since he and Meghan stepped down from being senior working royals.
He also denied that the pair "blindsided" the Queen over leaving as senior working royals and said that they had been cut off financially by the royal family.
Buckingham Palace has ordered family and staff to not speak out about the fallout from the interview as well as mention private family issues, with the Queen mentioning this in her short but sweet statement about the interview.
“While some recollections may vary, they are taken very seriously and will be addressed by the family privately,” the statement read.
