Terri Irwin addresses Russell Crowe romance rumours
Terri Irwin has finally addressed romance rumours she is involved with long time friend Russell Crowe, confirming in an interview with Access Hollywood she is not in a relationship with the Hollywood star.
The rumours of the two have been rife but Irwin only broke her silence over the weekend.
Irwin said the Oscar winner was simply a “dear friend”. She also admitted she hasn’t dated anyone since her late husband Steve’s death.
“He is very lucky to be embroiled in all of these great rumours,” Irwin deadpanned. “In all honesty, he and Steve became friends many years ago, and after Steve passed, you find out who your true friends are. And Russell has been very loyal as a great friend.”
Irwin also went on to explain why she’s grateful for Crowe’s friendship, revealing he helped protect the Steve Irwin Wildlife Reserve in Queensland. “He talked about the situation publicly and stood up and helped us and is a great guy.”
“But absolutely just a dear friend. Nothing going on,” she said.
When she was asked why she hadn’t date anyone since her husband died in 2006, more than a decade ago, Irwin told Access Hollywood “I feel a connection still with Steve.”
