Cat completely changes 94-year-old grumpy grandfather’s life
Meet 94-year-old Jiji. Since a hospital visit in 2009 stopped him from working, Jiji has been a grumpy old man, according to his grandson Akiko.
“The once outgoing man gradually lost his interest in life and became grumpier than ever,” Akiko says.
But that all changed when Akiko introduced his grandfather to Kinako the cat.
“An extraordinary friendship gradually grew between the two. Who would have thought that a timid kitten would befriend a grumpy old man!” adds Akiko.
Having just bought a new camera, Akiko was keen to test it out and snapped plenty of photos of his grandfather and cat’s budding relationships – and the photos just prove how much an animal can change a person’s life.
“The border between human and animal melts, just as shy Kinako melted Jiji's heart,” says Akiko.
