Octogenarians dance to rap song

In a video sweeping the internet, Mary Thompson, 80, and Eleanor Fredriksen, 83, are seen busting out some dance moves to a rap song.

The friends, who live at the Somerby of Peachtree City Retirement Community in Georgia in the United States, can be seen performing moves that are normally in the domain of the young, including “whip”, “nae nae” and the “Superman”.

Thompson told Fox 5 News, dancing “just feels like a natural thing when I hear the music”.

“I just like to be happy and I was having a good time with my friend Mary,” added Fredriksen.

The duo became fast friends in 2014 after Thompson moved into the retirement village.
