For sale already?! Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta-Jones list NYC home
Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta-Jones have listed their luxurious New York City home for $30.9 million (US$21.5m) just two years after adding it to their property portfolio.
With four bedrooms and six bathrooms, the apartment takes up the entire front of a historic Central Park West building and boasts stunning views of Central Park.
The residence has been described as a “quintessential New York City apartment” by the realtors, with period details, high ceilings, and grand rooms.
Highlights of the home include a sunlight-drenched living room, a wood-panelled library with one of two wood-burning fireplaces, and a main dining room with the second fireplace and an eat-in chef’s kitchen.
Amenities include a large guest bathroom, a wet bar with wine storage, and a main suite consisting of a large bedroom, a sitting area, an ensuite with a marble bath, and two dressing rooms.
If cleaning the home seems a daunting task, the home also includes its own staff quarters with a full bath and laundry.
The unit is located in the Kenilworth, a ‘white glove’, full-service building with an attended elevator and a resident manager.
However, the residence does come with a hefty HOA fee (like a maintenance fee) of more than $21,000 a month.
The couple moved into the 1,115 sqm manor house in 2019, shortly after selling another New York mansion for almost $20.5 million.
