Marlon Brando’s former LA home could be yours for $4.295 million
Marlon Brando’s former four-storey Laurel Drive home in West Hollywood has hit the market for the steep price of $4.295 million.
Once lived in by the two-time Oscar winner back in 1954, the classic yet sophisticated residence is a perfect reminder of a time gone by.
Built in 1926, the actor said the neo-Gothic home was a “very pleasant place to live” when on Person to Person in 1955.
“I enjoy it very much,” he told the show’s host Edward R. Murrow at the time.
The four-bedroom, five-bedroom space with 270-degree jetliner views of equal city lights and darling ocean, is located a half mile above the Chateau Marmont on the Sunset Strip.
“It's awfully nice to go out here in the evening and have dinner at this sort of little nook here, especially on warm nights when the desert wind comes up over the hills,” the Golden Era actor claimed.
While the home has had modest updates, including the kitchen and formal dining room, the home has remained true to its roots with many of the original fixtures completely in place.
Marlon Brando died at the age of 80 in 2004 from respiratory failure that was a result of pulmonary fibrosis with congestive heart failure.
