Cruise ship rescues man whose boat had run out of fuel
A Regal Princess cruise sailing in the Baltics has rescued an elderly man whose small boat had ran out of fuel.
When departing the port of call of Tallinn, Estonia on June 8 the cruise liner responded to an alert from the local coast guard about a Helsinki man who had gone missing while out at sea.
Luckily, the ship’s crew spotted the boat in the rough seas and launched a rescue operation. He was taken on-board, looked over by the ship’s medical staff and transferred back to land.
