Is this the most luxurious cruise liner ever?

In an age where mega-sized ocean liners continually break size records, there are times when taking a cruise can feel like staying in a giant, floating city in the middle of the ocean. But, as you can see in the gallery above, one line has taken a different route.

Regent Seven Seas Cruises has officially unveiled its new ship, the Seven Seas Explorer. Constructed at a cost of $450 million, the Seven Seas Explorer only carries about 750 guests and is designed to provide a throwback to the glamorous golden age of cruising.

Monte Carlo was the perfect backdrop for the unveiling on Wednesday night, with had the beautiful Princess Charlene of Monaco in attendance. The ceremony featured a full orchestra and concluded with a stirring performance from Andrea Bocelli.

The Seven Seas Explorer is a masterpiece in cruise ship design, featuring the second-highest space ratio of any liner at sea. All guests will enjoy spacious, beautifully appointed suites, but the piece de resistance is the 4,443 square-foot Regent Suite.

This two-bedroom suite features an in-room spa, unlimited spa treatments and an outdoor, glass enclosed dining area with an unbeatable view.
