The Love Boat cast: Where are they now?
The New York Times called it “dreadful porridge” but viewers consumed it in droves anyway. Ridiculous but aspirational, cheesy but salacious, The Love Boat was the ultimate guilty pleasure.
Despite making its way to the graveyard time slot, the sitcom made people look forward to Saturday nights in the late '70s and early '80s.
Till today, Aaron Spelling – the producer behind the show – holds the Guinness World Record for being the most prolific television producer ever.
The Love Boat also featured plenty of household names starring as guests, such as Olivia de Havilland, Lillian Gish, Helen Hayes, Gene Kelly, Debbie Reynolds and Cab Calloway to name a few.
There were also a few stars who weren’t famous back then, like Michael J. Fox and Tom Hanks.
But while the guest stars are hard to forget, many remember the program because of its main cast.
