Frolicking dolphins ride waves and fly high in the air
A pod of dolphins delighted a crowd of people as they flew high into the air, surfing the wake of the boat.
The video, recorded off the west Australian coast on Monday, May 15, shows incredible footage of the dolphins leaping into the air.
“They were surfing and launching in our cruise vessel’s wake in Mandurah on Saturday afternoon,” a spokeswoman for Mandurah Cruises said. “This behaviour is a common occurrence in Mandurah during the month of May as it is the peak of mating season, newborns are arriving and the salmon run is happening which causes remarkable feeding frenzies.”
