Hippo stuns guests by taking a swim in the pool

A hippo has been found cooling off in a pool at a nature reserve in South Africa.

Staff at Ingwelala, a privately owned nature reserve adjacent to Kruger Park, were shocked to find the enormous mammal floating in the pool.

It’s believed the animal was doing so in a bid to cool itself off, as recent drought conditions in the area have led to considerable drops in river levels.

At risk of being branded hippo-crites, the staff decided to let it enjoy its swim.
