Popular attraction installs pedestrian speed bumps
An ancient water town in China has installed almost a hundred “speed bumps” at the walkway of its entrance to get tourists to slow down and take in the view.
Zaozhuang, Shandong, considered to be one of the most beautiful water towns in China, has these new black-and-yellow speed bumps installed just outside the entrance and spaced less than a step apart to force tourists to slow down.
The pictures were shared on the state broadcaster’s Twitter account:
What’s your take? Do you think it’s a clever solution to the tourist problem? Or do the speed bumps detract from the region’s natural beauty?
