Stunning winners of the 2022 Sony World Photography Awards
The category winners and shortlisted entries for the open competition of the 2022 Sony World Photography Awards have been revealed, and the results are breathtaking.
Hosted by the World Photography Organisation, categories for the annual awards include Travel, Motion, Natural World & Wildlife, and Landscape, with this year's awards showcasing the best amateur photographers from around the world.
Out of 170,000 submissions entered in the competition, 100 photographers were shortlisted in addition to 10 category winners.
The photos from this year's category winners range from erupting volcanoes in Sicily to a balloon festival in India, all telling international stories of culture.
The winner of the overall competition will be announced on April 12th.
