What happens to bags after you’ve checked them in?
The ability to check our luggage at one airport and have it arrive at our destination precisely as we do is certainly one that we take for granted these days. And as you can see in the video above, there are a lot of moving parts that go into making this possible.
Qantas has teamed up with GoPro to create a video that showcases the luggage loading process to help understand how your bags wind up where you are.
To film the video, Qantas strapped a GoPro camera to a piece of luggage, giving us a bag’s-eye-view of every element of the delivery process. As you can see the transport process is an interesting one, at times simple, at others staggeringly complex.
Make sure you watch the video the whole way through. At the very least, you’ll gain a newfound appreciation for the people who make this process possible.
What did you think of the video? Did you think this was the way luggage was transported around the world? Have you ever lost luggage?
