The world’s first stair climbing luggage is here
A couple in the US has come up with a prototype for a suitcase that roll smoothly up and down stairs - without you having to pick it up yourself.
It’s called the TraxPack, and comes fitted with “tank tracks” – like what you’d see on a military tank – which allows the bag to roll up and down stairs as you pull your luggage like normal.
“Whether it be an escalator in the airport that isn’t working, or let’s say you want to get your bag from the bedroom downstairs to the door so you can go to the airport,” said co-founder Richard Braddock.
Heralded as the world’s first stair-climbing suitcase, this piece of luggage also has a GPS tracking system, a manoeuvrable handle, a built-in weight scale, USB charging docks and media stand, and extra-strong zippers to keep your belonging secure.
It’s just a prototype at the moment but the couple are planning to bring the TraxPack to the world.
