Elderly royal tests positive for COVID-19

The Danish royal palace has confirmed that Queen Margrethe of Denmark has tested positive for COVID-19 and is currently in isolation.
The 81-year-old is fully vaccinated, experiencing “mild symptoms” and has cancelled a planned winter holiday to Norway in order to make a full recovery.
She is currently isolating at the royal residence Amalienborg in Copenhagen, according to a statement released on Wednesday.
Margarethe is the mother of future king Prince Frederik, who is married to Australian-born Crown Princess Mary.
It comes after the Danish Royal House last week released new photos of Tasmanian mother-of-four Mary and her family as she celebrated her milestone 50th birthday.
At the same time, Spain's King Felipe VI – who was also fully vaccinated against the coronavirus – has also tested positive for the virus.
The 54-year-old monarch was tested after he developed 'mild symptoms' of COVID-19, his royal house reported on Wednesday. King Felipe's 'overall health' is said to be fine and he will remain in isolation for seven days, following national health protocols.
