Apple turnovers

Delightful to taste and crunchy and soft in texture, classic apple turnovers are actually really quite simple to make. Yum!

Ingredients:

• 4 medium apples (go with your favourite apple for baking), peeled, cored, and diced
• 1 tablespoon lemon juice
• 1 tablespoon melted butter
• ½ cup light brown sugar
• ½ cup sugar
• 2 ½ teaspoons ground cinnamon
• ¼ teaspoon nutmeg
• 2 tablespoons cornflour
• Salt
• 1 packet of puff pastry sheets
• 1 egg, lightly beaten
