Healthy and easy recipe with the grandkids: Fruit treasure chest

Feeds: up to 10 hungry pirates
Ingredients
- 1 round watermelon
- 10 raspberries
- 15 blueberries
- 10 cherries
- 5 strawberries, halved lengthways
- 15 cubes of pineapple
Tools
- 1 long cook’s knife
- 1 chopping board
- 1 large spoon
- 1 star-shaped cookie cutter
- 1 small serrated knife
- 1 large plate
How to make
1. First ask Mum or Dad to cut a thin strip off the very bottom of the watermelon, so the chest has a flat bottom and can sit upright on the chopping board.
2. Now, using the recipe photo as a guide, ask Mum or Dad to cut a 45-degree wedge out of the watermelon, using a long knife. Scoop out contents with a spoon.
3. Again, with help from Mum or Dad, cut the watermelon flesh into small cubes and/or star-shapes and deposit these precious gems, along with your raspberries, blueberries, cherries, strawberries and cubed pineapple into the watermelon treasure chest. Transfer the chest to a large plate.
4. Why not hide the chest somewhere and see if your pirate friends can find it!
