Lenny Kravitz opens up about relationship with ex-fiancée Nicole Kidman

Almost a year after Australian sweetheart Nicole Kidman revealed she was engaged to Lenny Kravitz back in 2003, the rock star has finally broken his silence on what he thinks of his ex.

“Nicole is amazing,” the Are You Gonna Go My Way singer told Mr Porter. “I have stayed friends with my exes, in most cases.”

The 53-year-old added that he was excited when he heard that his daughter, Zoe Kravitz, would be reuniting with Kidman on the set of hit TV series Big Little Lies, which earned the Aussie star an Emmy as well as a Golden Globe nomination.

“Zoe and she hadn’t spent time together since she was younger, since Nicole and I were together, so that was great,” Kravitz said.

And Zoe was just as excited to reunite with her would-be stepmother, revealing she once lived with her dad and Kidman in Australia.

“I hadn’t seen her in a long time before Big Little Lies, but there was a point where we were all kind of living together. I was about 13, and she would take me to see movies; she was so nice to me.”

Lenny also remains good friends with ex-wife and Zoe’s mother, Lisa Bonet.

“We were mirror images of each other, male and female,” he said. “It was quite extraordinary. I hope to have a great love again. I plan on it.”
