Margot Robbie has reportedly given birth to her first child with her husband, British filmmaker Tom Ackerley. According to People, the 34-year-old Australian actress gave birth to a baby boy on October 17 in Los Angeles. Her family is reportedly in the process of planning to travel out to the US. The actress known for her iconic roles in films like I, Tonya, Wolf of Wall Street and Barbie, has kept a low profile throughout her pregnancy, with friends and family also remaining tight-lipped on news of the baby. Ackerley was spotted carrying a box of nappies on the streets of LA on October 30, sparking speculation they had welcomed their baby. Robbie and Ackerley, met on the set of Suite Française in 2013, where he was an assistant director and she starred as Celine Joseph. They then married in December 2016 during a private ceremony in Byron Bay. Robbie's pregnancy was made public in July, with the couple enjoying a romantic babymoon to Sardinia, Italy a month later. The actress made her last red carpet appearance on September 9, when she attended the screening of the comedy movie she produced with her husband. Robbie Williams and wife Ayda have been left heartbroken following the death on their beloved dogs, Poupette and Walle. The British pop star, 50, took to Instagram on Friday to share the devastating news, saying that the two dogs died together in their sleep. In a heartfelt tribute to Instagram, his wife Ayda shared that Poupette had been with her for nearly two decades. “Today, our dogs Poupette & Walle left this planet to start an adventure in an infinite galaxy far, far away," she began. “They died together in bed, listening to ‘Dancing Queen’, surrounded by tremendous love. “For those of you who don’t know about Poupette and Walle, here’s some backstory … “Poupette’s been with me 18 years. Margot Robbie has recalled a sweet story about when she overheard a group of men talking about the Barbie movie, before giving them the surprise of their life. At a screening of the Barbie movie in Los Angeles, the Aussie actress told the audience of the heartwarming moment she encountered in Scotland, shortly after the film's release last July. At the SAG-AFTRA screening of the blockbuster movie, Robbie began, “I had this brilliant experience.” “I was in a pub in the middle of nowhere in Scotland and I listened for about 30 minutes to a group of guys on a bachelor party discussing the Barbie movie, not knowing that I was sitting two or three feet away from them.” Robbie continued, “It was just truly fascinating. There were people at the table who refused to see the Barbie movie." “One guy was like, ‘Dude, it is a cultural moment, don’t you want to be a part of culture?’ And the other guy was like, ‘I’ll never see it,’ and by the end he did want to see it. The nominations for the 96th academy awards has been announced, and despite Barbie being nominated for eight awards, there were a few notable snubs that fans aren't happy about. The film’s star, Margot Robbie, was not nominated for best actress, despite co-star Ryan Gosling receiving a nomination for best supporting actor for his role as Ken. The film's director Greta Gerwig, was also snubbed as she was not nominated for best director. Fans took to social media to express their thoughts, with many of them unhappy with the academy's choice. Margot Robbie's enormous Barbie salary revealed

Margot Robbie is set to take home her biggest pay cheque yet for her portrayal in the Barbie movie, as the highly-anticipated film hits the $1 billion mark at the global box office. Robbie, who started her acting career on Neighbours, both starred in and produced the Barbie film, which was directed by Greta Gerwig. According to reports from <a href="https://variety.com/2023/film/news/barbie-pay-margot-robbie-salary-box-office-bonuses-1235695563/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Variety</a>, the 32-year-old Aussie actress made an upfront fee of $19 million to portray the Mattel doll, but that figure will make a significant jump after the lucrative sales, bringing Margot's salary to $77 million. Barbie, which was made on a budget of approximately $220 million, hit the coveted $US1 billion mark at the global box office earlier this month, just two weeks after it hit cinemas. Robbie was instrumental in the making of the Barbie film, as her production company, LuckyChap, purchased the rights from Mattel in 2018. She then pitched the film to Warner Bros. and managed to convince Gerwig to both write and direct the blockbuster movie, with Gerwig's partner Noah Baumbach jumping in to help write the screenplay. Speaking of her commitment to making Barbie happen, Robbie recently said she was “overselling” the project in early meetings with executives to get the project off the ground. “I think my pitch in the green-light meeting was the studios have prospered so much when they’re brave enough to pair a big idea with a visionary director,” Robbie said in an interview with <a title="collider.com" href="https://collider.com/barbie-margot-robbie-interview-ryan-gosling/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Collider </a>in July. Husband to fight charges over wife’s death in golf buggy crash

Robbie Awad, whose fiancée died in a tragic buggy crash accident on their honeymoon, will fight the charges laid against him in relation to the incident, a court has been told. Awad, also known as Robbie Morgan, entered a not guilty plea for the charge of driving without due care and attention causing death when his matter was mentioned at Proserpine Magistrates Court on Monday. He was issued with a notice to appear in court just months after laying his wife to rest. The 30-year-old <a href="https://www.oversixty.co.nz/news/news/husband-charged-over-wife-s-death-in-hamilton-island-buggy-crash">was charged</a> by Queensland Police with causing the death of his wife, Marina Hanna, who didn’t survive the critical injuries she suffered when the golf buggy Awad was driving overturned during their honeymoon on Hamilton Island. He has also been charged with failure to wear an approved seatbelt by the driver, failure to wear an approved seatbelt by the passenger and using a mobile phone. Police initially labelled the crash, which occurred ten days after the couple tied the knot, as a “tragic accident”. Now, Mr Awad is on bail and must reside at his home in Quakers Hill, Sydney. Husband charged over wife’s death in Hamilton Island buggy crash

The husband of a woman <a href="https://www.oversixty.co.nz/news/news/update-to-tragic-honeymoon-death-on-hamilton-island">who died in a buggy crash</a> during their honeymoon has been charged in relation to her death. Marina Hanna and Robbie Awad were wed on June 11, 2022, before heading to Queensland’s Hamilton Island for their honeymoon two days later. On June 20, a ride in a golf buggy went horribly wrong, with the 29-year-old bride suffering critical injuries after the electric vehicle flipped over. Initial reports claimed the buggy had started to run out of the battery and Mr Awad, who was driving, made a U-turn to drive back and charge it when it flipped over. Ms Hanna was allegedly not wearing her seat belt, and fell out of the vehicle, dying at the scene. While police initially said the incident was nothing more than “a tragic accident”, an extensive police investigation has resulted in several charges laid against Mr Awad, including driving without due care and attention, seatbelt offences, and using a mobile phone while driving. The 30-year-old is due to face the Proserpine Magistrates Court on December 5. He reportedly presented to Queensland Police last week, per the <a href="https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-11432643/Hamilton-Island-Robbie-Awad-Marina-Hanna-golf-buggy-charged.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Daily Mail</a>, after he was asked to hand himself in. In the wake of her death, Mr Awad <a href="https://www.oversixty.co.nz/health/caring/heartbroken-husband-speaks-after-honeymoon-tragedy">took to social media to share his heartbreak</a>, writing that his heart was broken and his world shattered after losing “the most beautiful girl in the world”. During an interview in July, he said his wife had “never looked so beautiful” as they boarded a helicopter to fly over the island the day before the accident. “She was radiating before she left [this life]. 'It was because God was calling her home,” he said. “She is an angel. “There are no two ways about it.” Clips shared on Instagram show the couple walking across the tarmac to board their Qantas flight to Queensland at the start of their trip, as well as the interior of their plush resort upon their arrival. Another, posted before Ms Hanna’s death, showed Mr Awad driving the buggy to their resort while she filmed the scenery from the passenger seat. Robbie Coltrane’s cause of death revealed

Harry Potter star Robbie Coltrane’s cause of death has been revealed, after it emerged that the British actor suffered from multiple painful health conditions prior to his death aged 72. Coltrane died from several conditions including multiple organ failure, according to his death certificate, with The Sun reporting that he had been unwell for some time and had been battling diabetes and obesity. According to The Mirror, Coltrane passed away on October 14 of sepsis - an extreme reaction to an infection - a lower respiratory tract infection and heart block - when electrical impulses that control your heart beating are disrupted. The actor, who was born Anthony Robert McMillan and changed his name in the 1970s in tribute to jazz legend John Coltrane, had his death registered by his former wife Rhona Gemmell. He was a veteran Scottish actor with a host of acting credits to his name, including his most well-known role as Hagrid in the Harry Potter films, the starring role as Valentin Dmitrovich Zukovsky in Golden Eye and The World Is Not Enough, and as Samuel Johnson in Blackadder the Third. Coltrane was also a prominent face in the series Cracker, starring as Dr Eddie Fitzgerald during his airing between 1993 and 2006. Once a heavy drinker and with a past that included drug use, his friend and late actor John Sessions said Coltrane had a “strong self-destructive streak” and a “deep, driving melancholy”. “Booze is my undoing,” Coltrane once said. “I can drink a gallon of beer and not feel the least bit drunk.” In his later years, the star suffered from osteoarthritis that left him wheelchair-bound and in “constant pain”. “I was fighting pain 24 hours a day when I was in National Treasure and Great Expectations,” he told the Daily Express in 2020. “I had no cartilage in my knee. Australian music legend John Farnham has said he was "deeply touched" by Robbie Williams' dedication to the singer, as he continues to battle cancer. In front of 100,000 AFL fans on Friday's grand final match in Melbourne, Robbie took to the stage to deliver a 20 minute mash-up of his biggest hits as the pre-show entertainment. Margot Robbie has become the highest paid Hollywood actress thanks to her role in Greta Gerwig’s live action Barbie movie. The Australian actress, 32, takes on the lead role of Barbie in the upcoming film and received an eye watering USD$12.5 million (AUD$18.1 million) for it. This hefty sum now places Margot on the top of the list of Hollywood’s highest paid actresses. Her salary definitely soared since her last blockbuster Birds of Prey which saw her earn USD$10 million (AUD$14.6 million). Her co-star, heartthrob Ryan Gosling was reportedly paid the same amount for playing the lead male role in the film. Margot said that she is excited for the film to be released and it will certainly bring in a different type of audience. “We like the things that feel a little left of center. Fellow Aussies Delta Goodrem, Jesse Spencer, Holly Valance, Carla Bonner, Natalie Imbruglia and Kym Valentine, who all had their start on the show, will all return to the finale. “Everyone working on the soap was determined that Neighbours would end on a real high and when they reached out to Margot she said ''yes'' straight away” according to an unknown source. “There was no way she wasn't going to be a part of the historic big finale as she's always spoken so fondly about her time on the soap and how it helped to launch her movie career. Sadly, she couldn't get to Australia for filming but recorded a special clip that will be shown in the big finale.” Margot instead sent 37 bottles of champagne to the set as a gift, one for each year that the show has been in on television. The show's executive producer Jason Herbison announced Robbie had sent the gift and the cast raised a toast following the end of filming on the show's final ever day of production. Loved ones remember newlywed bride who died on her honeymoon in moving funeral service

Family and friends have gathered to commemorate the “kind-hearted spirit” and “unconditional love” of the newlywed bride who tragically died in a golf buggy accident on her honeymoon in an emotional funeral service Marina Morgan, 29, had only been married to husband Robbie Morgan for 10 days when she died in a freak accident on the couples honeymoon in Hamilton Island. At 9 am on Saturday the 2nd of July, hundreds of friends and family filled St Mary & St Merkorious Coptic Orthodox Church in Rhodes – the same place Marina and Robbie were married. A funeral notice posted to the church’s Facebook page in Arabic and English referred to her as the “bride of heaven”. Several men, including her husband, carried her coffin into the building and onto the altar, where a photo of Marina on her wedding day was placed on top of the casket. After prayers filled the church, friends and family shared their memories of Marina’s life. Marina’s brother, Mark Hanna, described his sister as a “sweet, young, independent woman who was loved by everyone.” “She was beautiful inside and out, loved to laugh, and always had a positive outlook on life.” In his emotional eulogy, Mr Hanna described the strong bond he shared with his sister. “I've lost someone who I shared so many things … we always shared with each other our hidden fears, and now it feels as though I’ve lost a part of myself, leaving a wound that stretches from the middle of my ribcage to the bottom of my gut,” he said. “It’s very difficult to accept that our gorgeous Marina is no longer here with us. “I will do my best to not let this scar be the death of me,” he promised as he broke down in tears. “Mum, dad, husband Robbie, me, your extended families, cousins, uncles, aunts, friends and everyone who knew you will never forget you.” While Mr Morgan did not stand to speak during the funeral, he briefly spoke to media after. “I can’t explain the sadness in my heart, my wife was loved by so many,” Mr Morgan said told reporters after the funeral. Cousin Miriam remembered her “partner in crime” who lived her life “fearlessly” and vowed to do the same. In a bespoke poem, Miriam also described how Marina fulfilled her life’s goal of getting married, filling her family with pride. “We never thought that day would be your last,” she recited. “To marry her soulmate Robbie and to be a bride, while always filling her family with so much love and so much pride While Mr Morgan did not get up to speak, the priest told the church how he had recalled the couple’s last few days together. “Please see this as a celebration. She is in a better place now alongside God and his angels.” Mrs Morgan’s casket was carried outside and placed into the back of a hearse, before it was driven to Rookwood Cemetery, where she will be laid to rest. "Only the good die young": Tragic twist in honeymoon death

The newlywed bride who died in a tragic golf buggy incident on Hamilton Island was due to get married last year but instead it was delayed because of Covid. Marina Hanna, 29, and husband Robbie Morgan were due to get married on July 24, 2021 but because of lockdown and density limits they decided to delay their ceremony. But it wasn't until June 11, 2022, that the loved-up pair were finally able to say their vows in a lavish ceremony at Sydney’s Doltone House. The newlyweds then finally made their way to Queensland’s Hamilton Island for their honeymoon. The pair were travelling on a golf buggy - the main form of transportation on the island on June 20 when Morgan did a U-turn, causing the buggy to tip over. A doctor, off-duty dentist and off-duty firefighter rushed to the scene and desperately performed CPR for 35 minutes on Marina, who unfortunately could not be revived. “(This) is proof that the good die young,” Robbie’s brother Matty said of Marina’s passing. Queensland Police Inspector Anthony Cowan announced in a press conference that Marina was not wearing a seatbelt while in the buggy. “It was just a tragic accident with a golf buggy,” he said. “There may have been some inexperience driving those type of vehicles while turning it has rolled on its side and the woman has fallen out and sustained life-threatening injuries.” “It just appears inexperience in driving that type of vehicle, turned too quick and rolled on its side and unfortunately, it has ended up with this result. “It appears there was no seatbelt worn at this point in time; we come back to the Fatal Five but now is not the time to dwell on what they should have done.” Inspector Cowan confirmed that no drugs, alcohol or dangerous driving caused the accident. Pop icon Robbie Williams appears to have <a rel="noopener" href="https://www.domain.com.au/news/pop-god-robbie-williams-is-selling-his-massive-country-estate-for-12-7-million-1113180/" target="_blank">sold</a> his opulent English estate just four months after it hit the market. The 47-year-old made headlines in late September last year after <a rel="noopener" href="https://www.knightfrank.co.uk/blog/2021/09/28/robbie-williams-puts-7bedroom-wiltshire-country-house-compton-bassett-house-on-the-market" target="_blank">listing Compton Bassett House for sale</a> with a hefty price tag of $13.5 million). Located in the sleepy village of Compton Bassett, about 170 kilometres away from London’s CBD, Williams’ seven-bedroom, eight-bathroom mansion features some quite lavish features. With 1800 square metres of living space, the home comes with ‘standard’ inclusions such as a chef’s kitchen, vaulted ceilings, chandeliers and luxury fixtures throughout, topped off with a ‘leisure-complex’ on the lower floor of the house which includes a gym, sauna, steam room, and a 22-metre-long pool and spa. The home also boasts a huge wine cellar, while the 28.3-hectate property includes a tennis court and accompanying summer house, a full-size soccer pitch, quad-bike trail, guest cottage, and a one-bedroom apartment that can serve as staff quarters. Since the Angels singer also owns his own helicopter, it should come as no surprise that his former home also features a helipad and separate hangar. As luxe as the Compton Bassett House is, it is just as historic, with some parts of the building dating back to 1659. Robbie Williams reveals guilt over mental health battle

Popstar Robbie Williams has revealed how his struggles with depression and anxiety during his time with boy band Take That left him feeling guilty. Williams was reflecting on his time with the group on the <a rel="noopener" href="https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/i-never-thought-it-would-happen/id1576380688" target="_blank">I Never Thought It Would Happen</a> podcast when he got candid about his mental health at the time. “I hated myself … the high bits [of my career] were married with a really, really dark depression and deep anxiety. And none of it was enjoyable,” Williams said. Asked about the current state of his mental health, Williams said he is in a far better place. “I don’t know if it ever leaves leaves. It’s not as extreme as it used to be,” he said. “Actually, I don’t live there anymore. I used to live there. I might weekend there occasionally every three months, but it’s not the place that I live in now. “It’s not driving the car. Somebody who is more content is driving the car.” Williams credits wife Ayda Field for her calming effect on him. The Hollywood award seasons continues on and this year will once again acknowledge Australia’s A-listers, with Nicole Kidman, Margot Robbie, Russell Crowe and Toni Collette nominated for Screen Actors Guild Awards. The SAG Awards are one part of ceremonies that occur before the Oscars, and nominations provide a significant boost to actors' campaigns. Voters snubbed Kidman in the lead actress in a TV drama series category for her TV show Big Little Lies. It came as one of the biggest surprises on Wednesday during the SAG nomination ceremony. However, she received a supporting actress nod for her role in Bombshell, a movie that centred on sexual harassment at US news channel Fox News. Kidman will go head to head with her Bombshell co-star Margot Robbie in the SAG category. The Australian actress is in the running for SAG’s top award along with Robbie and the rest of the Bombshellcast, including Malcolm McDowell. McDowell played Rupert Murdoch in the film. Kidman also received a nomination with her Big Little Lies cast in the TV drama series ensemble category. New Zealand-born actor, Russell Crowe, has received a nod in the outstanding actor in a TV movie/limited series category for The Loudest Voice, which follows closely behind his Golden Globe nomination. The actor, who recently opened up about the <a rel="noopener" href="https://www.oversixty.com.au/news/news/heartbroken-russell-crowe-shows-bushfire-damage-to-multimillion-dollar-property" target="_blank">damage done to his multimillion-dollar property due to the NSW and QLD bushfires</a>, plays Fox News boss Roger Ailes. Toni Collette received a nomination in the outstanding actress TV movie/limited series category for her role in Unbelievable. Unfortunately, Kidman was snubbed for a supporting actor nod for Bombshell at the Golden Globe nominations but did receive a nod for Big Little Lies. Robbie, Crowe and Collette all received the same Globe nominations as they did with SAG in the same categories. The SAG Award winners will be announced on January 19 in Los Angeles. The British superstar opened up about his health battle with agoraphobia, admitting it left him unable to get off the sofa for three years from 2006 until 2009. But when I did come back, it felt so unnatural. It’s why that Bodies performance was so bad — I didn’t know what the f*** I was doing, it didn’t seem natural to me any more. “I had to re-learn how to entertain. It wasn’t an easy process — it was like having a car crash and then learning how to walk again. The British star eventually re-joined the Take That tour in 2011, which broke all previous records for ticket sales, and extra dates were added to adhere to demands. “If it wasn’t for Take That, and re-joining them, I don’t know if I’d have come back at all.” He added, “Initially, I got to hide in plain sight – I could hide behind my boys. Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank have announced who will be in their very sizeable bridal party for their rapidly approaching wedding. It’s perhaps no surprise that Princess Beatrice, Princess Eugenie’s sister, has been given the role of maid of honour, and standing beside Brooksbank as he no-doubt nervously awaits his bride, will be his brother Thomas. The Princess’ cousin Zara Tindall and her husband Mike will also be part of the bridal party.
