Prince WIlliam has made a candid admission about his life this past year, following the double cancer diagnoses of his father King Charles and wife Kate Middleton.

When asked how this year has been in an interview with UK print media in Cape Town during his trip to South Africa, the royal replied: “Honestly? It’s been dreadful.

“It’s probably been the hardest year in my life.”

The Prince of Wales, who took time off while Princess Kate was being treated added: “So, trying to get through everything else and keep everything on track has been really difficult.

“But I’m so proud of my wife, I’m proud of my father, for handling the things that they have done. But from a personal family point of view, it’s been, yeah, it’s been brutal.”

While the King and Princess Kate have both issued statements about their health struggles, this is the first time William has spoken candidly on the subject.

The Prince of Wales is in South Africa as part of Earthshot Week, and presented the Earthshot Prize Awards on November 6.

When asked if his family had watched the live broadcast of the awards ceremony, he replied: “I don’t know yet. I haven’t clocked in with them yet but I hope they did.

“But it’s interesting you say that, ’cause I couldn’t be less relaxed this year, so it’s very interesting you’re all seeing that. But it’s more a case of just crack on and you’ve got to keep going.

“I enjoy my work and I enjoy pacing myself and keeping sure I have got time for my family too.”

He also shared an update on his wife's condition saying that "she's doing well. Doing well".

Image: Andrew Parsons/Kensington Palace/ Shutterstock Editorial

Billy Connolly shares candid admission about Parkinson's battle

Billy Connolly has shared his candid thoughts around death as he discussed his ongoing battle with Parkinson's.

The comedian and actor, 81, recalled how he was told to "confront his illness" after being diagnosed with Parkinson's and prostate cancer on the same day.

"You just confront it and make decisions based on it," he told The Mirror.

"You just have to think 'Don't think you are being badly treated [in life] or you have the bad pick of the straws. You are one of millions'."

"Then you then realise death is not the big thing everyone has made it out to be. It is nothing. It is just a sudden nothing."

Despite the dual diagnosis, Connolly reflected on the "funny week", as he said, "On the Monday, I had hearing aids. On the Tuesday I got pills for heart burn, which I have to take all the time, and on the Wednesday I got news that I had prostate cancer and Parkinson's."

The star then joked that he probably got the disease following his several appearances on Michael Parkinson's chat show, saying, "I just thought 'I have got Parkinson's. I wish he (Michael) had kept it to himself!' It was easy (making fun of it)."

Earlier this year, Billy issued a health update in which he said being sick feels "strange", telling GB News in February, "Being unwell is strange. Everybody else is OK and you've got this thing that's wrong... you're out of step."

Two years ago, ahead of receiving an award, he told Bafta.org he's determined to not let the condition "dictate" who he is and is determined to not let it get him down.

"It's really important to work, to draw, to write, to walk silly for your grandchildren," he said at the time.

"Doing the same thing you've always done is good for you. I don't let the Parkinson's dictate who I am – I just get on with it. I've had a very successful career and I have no regrets at all."

Monty Python star's candid financial admission

Monty Python star Eric Idle has made a candid admission about the state of his finances, revealing why he still has to work at the age of 80.

The comic legend admitted he receives only a fraction of the millions the Python team have made in the past because the finances are a “disaster”.

In messages on X, formerly Twitter, Idle wrote: “I don’t know why people always assume we’re loaded”.

“I have to work for my living. I never dreamed that at this age the income streams would tail off so disastrously."

“I have been working and earning for Pythons since 1995. And now no more.”

Idle also took aim at TV lawyer Holly Gilliam, the daughter of fellow Python member Terry Gilliam, who took over the Python brand in 2013 as part of HDG Projects Ltd.

He said, “I guess if you put a Gilliam child in as your manager you should not be so surprised”.

“One Gilliam is bad enough. Two can take out any company.”

Daughter Lily Idle backed him, writing online, “I’m so proud of my dad for finally finally finally starting to share the truth.”

The Pythons, who also included John Cleese, 84, Michael Palin, 80, and the late Terry Jones — made a fortune thanks to their iconic cult films, including Life of Brian, hit stage show Spamalot, which Idle co-wrote, and the original Flying Circus BBC TV series.

They were back in the limelight in 2014 with Monty Python Live (Mostly) — One Down, Five to Go: a reference to former member Graham Chapman who died in 1989 aged just 48.

It featured interpretations of some of their famous sketches, and reportedly earned the surviving members at least £2 million ($3.87m AUD) each.

“I was spiralling”: Naomi Watts’ candid menopause admission

Naomi Watts has spoken candidly about how her life drastically changed when she started going through early menopause at the age of 36.

The Aussie actress, now 54, said going through such a big change at such a young age “wasn’t easy”, and found it difficult to access information about what she was going through, both physically and mentally.

Speaking candidly to Hello magazine, she said, “Going through menopause at such a young age was not easy, especially during a time when there was so little information available about it.”

“Mood swings, night sweats, and migraines … I was feeling like I was spiralling out of control,” she added.

According to the Mayo Clinic, menopause typically occurs at the age of 50, when a woman experiences her last period.

Despite the change coming on much earlier than anticipated, Watts said learning to cope with the hormonal changes helped her feel more liberated.

“Going through this journey led me to a deeper understanding of myself, and I came out on the other side feeling more authentically me,” she told Page Six.

“A lot of freedom came in the self-acknowledgment.”

She continued, “I had those voices in the back of my mind reminding me how old women are let out to pasture, but there was a lure to this desire to be authentic, to crawl from behind the invisible wall and just acknowledge for myself something that everyone could have probably guessed.”

Watts’ personal experience led her to partner with Menopause Mandate, a non-profit organisation that aims to revolutionise midlife support available for American women.

“I truly believe that if menopause hadn’t been such an off-limits topic when I first started experiencing symptoms, I would’ve had an easier transition,” she said.

“I was part of a cycle that desperately needed to be broken.”

“I’m not gonna be 80": Michael J. Fox's tragic admission

Beloved actor Michael J. Fox is acknowledging how difficult his more than 30-year battle with Parkinson’s disease has become.

“I’m not gonna be 80,” the Back to the Future star said in a preview for an upcoming episode of the American current affairs program CBS Sunday Morning, according to Page Six.

In the clip, Journalist Jane Pauley tells Fox that he has “not squandered” but that his condition will eventually “make the call” as to when it’s his time to go.

“Yeah, it’s, it’s banging on the door,” the actor said.

“I’m not gonna lie. It’s gettin’ hard, it’s gettin’ harder. It’s gettin’ tougher. Every day it’s tougher.”

Fox revealed that he had surgery to remove a benign tumour on his spine, but the procedure “messed up” his walking and so he started to “break” other parts of his body, including his arm, elbow, face and hand.

He added that the “big killer” of Parkinson’s disease is “falling” and can also be “aspirating food and getting pneumonia”, pointing out that it is “all these subtle ways that gets you.”

You don’t die from Parkinson’s. You die with Parkinson’s,” he said. “So – so I’ve been – I’ve been thinking about the mortality of it.”

The actor was diagnosed with the brain disorder at just 29. He has since become a leading advocate for research on the condition, with the launch of the Michael J. Fox Foundation in 2000 to help educate the public and fund studies.

He has previously revealed that he does not fear death.

“I’m really blunt with people about cures. When they ask me if I will be relieved of Parkinson’s in my lifetime, I say, ‘I’m 60 years old, and science is hard. So, no,’” he admitted in an AARP magazine profile in December 2021.

“I am genuinely a happy guy. I don’t have a morbid thought in my head — I don’t fear death. At all.”

Ghislaine Maxwell conviction in jeopardy over juror's admission

After a highly publicised trial that saw Ghislaine Maxwell convicted for sex-trafficking, the guilty verdict is now in jeopardy.

After the trial ended, a juror made comments to the media about how discussing their own experience with sexual abuse with the other jurors helped them reach a guilty verdict, and ultimately affected the jury's deliberations.

Both prosecutors and defense attorneys raised concerns over this revelation, as experts told Insider that it's possible Maxwell's conviction could be thrown out as a result of the juror's comments to the media.

It is also possible that the juror in question could face legal consequences such as perjury charges, if US District Judge Alison Nathan determines he was untruthful during the pre-trial procedure.

The voir dire is the procedure that happens before a trial commences to determine if each prospective juror is suitable to serve objectively.

The juror told Reuters that they "flew through" the pre-trial questionnaire and didn't recall being asked about any previous experience with sexual assault, as they said they would've answered the question honestly.

However, court records show that the questionnaire asked all prospective Maxwell jurors, "Have you or a friend or family member ever been the victim of sexual harassment, sexual abuse or sexual assault?"

Following this revelation, a second juror from the Maxwell trial came forward and said they also shared their experiences of sexual assault in the jury deliberations, and potentially swaying the guilty verdict.

In the hours after the news of the jurors' own experiences came to light, Ghislaine Maxwell's lawyers have called for a retrial on her case.

Maxwell was found guilty on five out of six sex-trafficking and conspiracy counts, and is facing up to 65 years in jail.

Ghislaine Maxwell was arrested in July 2020 after her involvement with disgraced late financier Jeffrey Epstein came to light.

Dr Charlie Teo makes shock admission about his future

Well-known neurosurgeon Charlie Teo has broken his silence about the recent allegations which have rocked his prominent 35-year career.

Last week, the Medical Council of NSW stated Dr Teo would be required to get the support of a second neurosurgeon before he performed specific high-risk operations.

These new conditions were imposed after Dr Teo attended a hearing at the medical council, instigated by a number of complaints from other surgeons.

Dr Teo’s registration now has some conditions attached to it including a requirement to meet regularly with a supervisor and get a supporting opinion from a fellow neurosurgeon, before operating on recurrent cancerous brain tumours and brain stem tumours.

Since the hearing, Dr Teo has mainly spoken through his lawyers but now the surgeon has personally addressed the allegations by talking to The Daily Telegraph.

Dr Teo has revealed he may walk away from medicine

When speaking about the allegations, Dr Teo revealed he may walk away from medicine.

He also addressed the claims he told sexual jokes while operating. These allegations first surfaced in a Sydney Morning Herald article in September 2019, with a nurse telling the publication she had heard Dr Teo making sexually suggestive jokes to his staff including saying “while you’re down there …” when a nurse was bending down to pick something up.

Dr Teo has today conceded he told “bad jokes” in the operating theatre.

“I’ll be the first to admit that I said that. I’m not gonna step back from that. I’ll take that on the chin. But never again. I can see how things can be taken out of context,” he said.

“Yeah, I was a dinosaur,” he added. “I used to tell bad jokes amongst my inner sanctum. In my defence, when you are totally focused on the job at hand, it’s difficult to think about being politically correct if it doesn’t come naturally.”

The nurse in question, Young Je, who Dr Teo made the jokes to, has since said she didn’t take the suggestions to heart.

“I wasn’t offended at all,” she said.

Ms Je has worked with Dr Teo for 12 years and they virtually consider each other as family.

“Our relationship is that special,” Dr Teo has said. “She was devastated when that came out.”

More conditions imposed on Dr Teo

The medical council has also ordered Dr Teo to file monthly reports of his procedures containing details of the surgery and patient; whether the patient travelled from interstate; any complications; and copies of all opinions from other surgeons, whether they approved or disapproved of the proposed operation.

Dr Teo – who is a NSW Australian of the Year finalist - must also meet regularly with a supervisor to discuss management of interstate patients, care after discharge, and “professional behaviour, including but not limited to communication with colleagues and patients”.

Regular audits are also among the conditions published on Dr Teo’s profile on the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency website (AHPRA).

The notice states the council considered the restrictions appropriate ‘for the protection of the health and safety or any person or persons, or because it is satisfied that action is otherwise in the public interest.’

Dr Teo's public statement

In a public statement last week, Dr Teo said he accepted the council’s direction to consult with another neurosurgeon on “two rare types of surgery” and “will also have retrospective discussions with a colleague to review outcomes”.

His statement read: ‘Dr Teo believes that his treatment of patients, who suffer from extremely rare, complicated and terminal brain cancers, had always been in line with local and international standards of care and welcomes greater transparency of his office procedures.’

‘I am often approached by patients suffering from brain cancer who have been told that there is nothing else to be done.

‘Published manuscripts over the past 30 years show that my success rate with these so-called “inoperable” tumours has been very successful in curing “incurable” tumours, extending survival or improving quality of their lives.’

Image: Charlie Teo Foundation / Instagram

Nicole Kidman’s candid admission about sex scenes in movies

Nicole Kidman has become a Hollywood giant after years of blockbuster hits.

However, the 53-year-old has gotten real about the moment she realised she’d need clauses in her contract when it came to sex and nudity in films.

While the Hollywood heavyweight has never shied away from roles with sex and/or nudity, she admits she was not always comfortable with baring it all for the screen.

In reference to the 1999 film Eyes Wide Shut, that she starred with her then husband Tom Cruise, Kidman said: “I’ve had situations as an actress where, oh my gosh, it was not what I thought it would be. I was probably at the forefront of this, when I went to work with (director) Stanley Kubrick.

“He (Kubrick) was like, ‘I’m going to want full frontal nudity,’ and I was like, ‘Ahh, I don’t know,’” Kidman said.

“So we came up with a great agreement, which was contractual. He would show me the scenes with the nudity before they made it into the film. Then I could feel completely safe.

“I didn’t say no to any of it. I’d wanted to make sure that it wasn’t going to be me standing there nude and everyone laughing at me.

“I was protected, so I got to explore a complicated marriage and the way in which Tom’s character is having those jealous images.

“I would never think of not wanting the storytelling to be told properly. Having them say, ‘Once you’re OK with it, great, that’s it’ – what a fantastic place to be in as a woman.”

Kidman is set to appear in the HBO series The Undoing, where she will star as character Grace Fraser - a woman who is comfortable with her sexuality.

The star argues that sex is still taboo.

“Sexuality is over here in a box, and we don’t deal with it. I’m happy to deal with it, but there needs to be a place where you can go. I’m not going to be exploited,” she said.

“Then I’ll go down the road with you. I love the relationship between a director and an actor.

“When it’s pure, it’s exquisite. And the other actors, when you’re all there doing the work, it’s exquisite.”

The Undoing is based on the 2014 book You Should Have Known, written by Jean Hanff Korelitz.

The story follows successful therapist Grace whose life is thrown into chaos when her husband Mike Fraser (Grant) disappears after a woman is violently murdered.

Nicole Kidman’s rare admission on marriage with Tom Cruise: “We were happy”

Nicole Kidman has made a rare statement about her marriage to Tom Cruise.

The star opened up in an interview with the New York Times where the Australian actress said that she and 58-year-old Cruise were “happily married” while filming the 1999 film Eyes Wide Shut.

In the film they played a married couple who dealt with infidelity.

When Kidman was asked if working on the film gave her any "negative feelings" towards her relationship with Cruise, she simply responded, "That fits the narrative that people came up with, but I definitely didn't see it like that."

"We were happily married through that," she said.

"We would go go-kart racing after those scenes. We'd rent out a place and go racing at three in the morning. I don't know what else to say. Maybe I don't have the ability to look back and dissect it. Or I'm not willing to."

Before the couple officially split in 2001, Kidman and Cruise adopted two kids.

They share their daughter Isabella, now 27, and son Connor, now 25.

The Big Little Lies star also revealed her experience on working with director Stanley Kubrick, who sadly died at age 70, not long after the film was completed.

"We loved working with him. We shot that for two years," she revealed.

"We had two kids and were living in a trailer on the lot primarily, making spaghetti because Stanley liked to eat with us sometimes. We were working with the greatest filmmaker and learning about our lives and enjoying our lives on set.

"We would say, 'When is it going to end?' We went over there thinking it was going to be three months. It turned into a year, a year and a half. But you go, 'As long as I surrender to what this is, I'm going to have an incredible time'."

Five years after the pair ended their marriage, the Mission: Impossible star married Katie Holmes, 41.

The pair share daughter Suri, 14, and were married for six years before Holmes filed for divorce.

Kidman tied the knot with musician Keith Urban in June 2006 and have welcomed two daughters together: Sunday, 12, and Faith, nine.

Queen’s stark admission to Scott Morrison about Donald Trump

Cruise ship doctor’s disgusting food trick admission

While cruise ships are often a dream holiday filled with luxury, fun and good times - there are always a few restrictions and warnings travellers must be wary of.

One cruise staff member has made a shocking admission about a repulsive way chefs on his particular vessel tricked their customers.

Ben MacFarlane explained in his 2011 book Cruise Ship SOS wrote wealthier travellers often have intensely high standards, expectations and demands.

While it can be risky to speak out against cruisers with unmeetable standards, there is a way one cruise kitchen skirted around the issue.

“You don’t need to panic if one of the high rollers gets brought into the Medical Centre on a stretcher after eating poisonous sushi,” he recalls a colleague telling him. “Because they’re not going to die.”

MacFarlane adds: “Apparently the world’s keenest sushi lovers like nothing better than playing a bit of Russian roulette with the blowfish [also known as a pufferfish].

“The chefs dissect out the gallbladder to remove the toxins - but leave a tiny bit of the bile duct intact so the diners feel the buzz of poison on their lips as they swallow.”

The doctor recalled one fellow employee saying, “Too little poison and you don’t get the tingle.

“Too much and you die. Apparently, the rich passengers love that kind of thing.”

The poisonous parts of the puffer fish can leave a tingling feeling that turns into numbness around the mouth, then paralysis and eventually death by respiratory failure.

Obviously, Macfarlane’s cruise refused to run the risk of putting a traveller’s life in danger, so instead of taking a deathly route - chefs found an incredible but disturbing way to fool holidayers into thinking they are getting what they ask for.

“[The chef] gets rid of all the dangerous stuff and just dabs a bit of mouth ulcer cream on what’s left.

“Ready-made tingle with far less risk of sudden death and a lawsuit.”

A fellow employee said: “It’s a win-win situation. The passengers think they’re dying when in fact they’re just cleaning up cold sores.”

“It hurts”: Roger Federer’s crushing admission after nail-biting Wimbledon finals loss

Roger Federer and Novak Djokovic were on the verge of causing a worldwide meltdown after an intense Wimbledon final that will forever be remembered.

After an epic four-hour-and 57-minute-long match, Djokovic emerged as the victor in the longest men’s final the All England Club has ever witnessed. The final set on its own went for two hours with the champions hoping to one up each other with every move they made.

In the end, it was the Serbian who came out on top 7-6 1-6 7-6 4-6 13-12 (7-3) as the world watched the first ever fifth set tiebreak at the iconic major.

Devastated, Federer was unable to take advantage of two championship points in the fifth set and was the player who fell short on a day that will be considered iconic for tennis fans.

Former British star Tim Henman said on the BBC broadcast, it’s a match “the tennis world will reflect on for a long time to come”.

And he wasn’t the only one who held those sentiments, as viewers at home took to Twitter to express their disbelief at the game they just witnessed.

Unbelievable scenes. It’s where I wanted to participate and where I wanted to win one day.”

Federer cemented his nice guy status. Despite being crushed from his loss, he still found time to praise Djokovic for his performance.

“It was a great match. It was long, it had everything,” he said. “I had my chances, so did he, we played some great tennis so in a way I’m happy with my performance as well.

“But Novak, congratulations man, that was great. That was crazy.

“I hope I give people the chance to believe, at 37, it’s not over yet.”

In his post-match conference, Federer was visibly down but still tried to remain optimistic for having the opportunity of making history.

“I mean, all of us working in this sport, we know what a great sport it is. I don’t think we need matches, per se. Maybe we need them to sometimes cross over to other sports, maybe get to the fans in the streets and so forth. If that’s the case, that this match did something like this, I think that’s great,” said the Swiss champ.

“I think it was a great match with wonderful points played. It had everything. Novak played also amazing today. So I hope it resonates in a big way.

“You try to take the good things out of this match. There’s just tons of it.

“Like similar to 2008 maybe, I will look back and think, ‘Well, it’s not that bad after all’. For now, it hurts, and it should, like every loss does here at Wimbledon.

“I think it’s a mindset. I’m very strong at being able to move on because I don’t want to be depressed about actually an amazing tennis match.”

His battle against Rafael Nadal in 2008 at the All England Club is widely considered to be one of the greatest games the sport has ever seen, and now, with Sunday's epic final, fans and experts can’t help but draw comparisons.

But despite the intensity and power of the two matches, the only thing the 37-year-old can focus on is the end result.

“Sure, epic ending, so close, so many moments. Yeah, I mean, sure there’s similarities. But you’ve got to go dig, see what they are,” Federer said. “I’m the loser both times, so that’s the only similarities I see.”

And while members of the media snickered after hearing that last line, it’s obvious that behind the smile, Federer is crushed that he couldn’t leave London with the one thing he wanted most.

Roger Federer has dominated the tennis world since 2003, but he recently reflected on his bad behaviour in an interview with Tennis World USA.

When the Swiss tennis legend was a teenager, the champion admitted he didn’t have a lot of control over his emotions.

Federer explained:

"I also had my bad times, I struggled with my temper, I was an angry person on the court and very sad once I lost.”

Federer also mentioned that he would ruminate on the mistakes he made whilst he was playing.

“I was more always very sad commentating every point I lost and I was like, 'Okay, play today is terrible.'

“It took me a long time to get really serious and maybe that's the small regret I have, maybe that I did not realise or react earlier but with all the success I have had, I had a very normal and clear path.”

This clear path to tennis success has helped him keep a clear head when it comes to his goals, although the 37-year-old did reflect on how long it took him to break through into the world of tennis.

“It took me more time than other players maybe to breakthrough but once I broke through, everything was in place ... I did not become a superstar overnight so I think that helps me today."

Federer has just recently won his 101st career title as he won the Miami Open over John Isner on April 1.

View this post on Instagram

1️⃣0️⃣1️⃣‼️😁💥

A post shared by Roger Federer (@rogerfederer) on Mar 31, 2019 at 1:02pm PDT

Without his tennis idols, Federer might not have had the drive to be where he is today.

His two idols were Stefan Edberg when he was growing up and Bjorn Borg later on. This is due to Federer’s coach Peter Lundgren telling stories about Berg.

“I heard so many stories from my coach Peter Lundgren and all these great records and what an influential and great person he was for the game of tennis and this is obviously when I started to admire Bjorn as well and everybody who did such amazing things for tennis.”

Federer maintains that without these two idols, the world of tennis would be very different today.

“I am thankful too because they created the great platform we play in today and I hope I can do something similar for the next generation."

With 101 career titles under his belt, Federer is well on the way to inspiring a new generation of tennis stars.

Prince Charles’ surprising admission: Prince Andrew “wants to be me”

Prince Charles has revealed that Prince Andrew “wants to be him” in a new documentary on Channel 5 in the UK. The documentary with Jeremy Paxman talks about the early lives of the Queen’s children, which includes sibling rivalry.

The Daily Mail’s Richard Kay has described Andrew’s place in the royal family as the “spare part”, which is a sentiment reinforced in the documentary.

When asked about how Prince Charles feels about his brother, Kay is able to recall a past incident and shares with Paxman:

“Charles said, ‘The trouble with my brother Andrew is that he wants to be me.’”

Kay continues to explain the sibling dynamic, saying that Prince Andrew is a “curious” position.

“Andrew was the spare, for a good bit of his life he was very important.

“He was the number two, the Queen's second son and if anything had happened to Charles, it was going to be Andrew who took over.”

Prince Charles and Prince Andrew with their mother, Queen Elizabeth II

However, due to the birth of Prince William and Prince Harry, as well as the birth of William’s three children, this bumped Prince Andrew down to seventh-in-line for the throne.

His biographer, Ingrid Stewart, also confirmed the dynamic between the two brothers.

“Charles is 16 years older than Edward and they weren't close,” Stewart admitted.

Stewart can also remember a time where Prince Charles seemed to pull rank amongst the siblings.

“On one of those occasions Prince Edward went upstairs and found some of the Duke of Windsor's old kilts which of course were all the tartans that The Prince of Wales is entitled to wear, and he thought, 'Ooh those look rather fun.' So, he put one on, and it fitted.

“He went down to dinner in a tartan which was that of the Duke of Rothesay, and as he went into the dining room Charles went apoplectic and said, ‘What are you doing wearing that? I am the only one entitled to wear that kilt. It is a kilt for the Prince of Wales. Go upstairs and take it off.’”

“Edward being such a calm person just went, 'OK', went upstairs and took it off and never mentioned it again.”

Are you surprised by this sibling rivalry between Prince Charles and Prince Andrew? Prince Charles' surprising gay admission

Back when Prince Charles was unable to find a royal wife that met his standards, he joked with friends that maybe he should "go gay".

This interesting claim comes from a new Channel 5 documentary that talks about the private lives of the royal family. Jeremy Paxman is hosting the documentary.

The show, Paxman On The Queen’s Children, involves Paxman interviewing friends and family about the heir to the throne, Prince Charles, and his siblings, Anne, Andrew and Edward.

Paxman conducted an interview with one of Prince Charles' old friends, Broderick Munro-Wilson, according to The Mirror.

The pair discussed an old newspaper story about “potential brides” in Europe for the heir to the throne, with Munro-Wilson claiming: “I thought the only possibility was Caroline of Monaco.”

According to Munro-Wilson, the Prince could not be tempted by any of the potential brides in Europe, joking around and saying: “Shall I go gay?”

“We all roared with laughter and moved on… they had a lot of fun,” reminisces Munro-Wilson.

Paxman then asked about Anne, the heir’s royal sister.

“Anne too?”

Broderick explained: “She wasn’t a stuffy old thing. I wouldn’t want anyone to think they were shrinking violets, either of them.”

A shrinking violet is an exaggerated shy person.

What do you think about these comments?
