Brisbane mansion shatters records and sells for over $18 million

This luxurious mansion has become Brisbane’s most expensive property after selling for $18.48 million.

The three-storey clifftop mansion at 1 Leopard Street, Kangaroo Point, broke the record when the property changed hands this week. The five-bedroom property has 72 metres of uninterrupted views of Brisbane’s city skyline. This sale beats Brisbane’s previous property price record when Gina Rinehart bought a home for $14 million in 2014.

The opulent property has an infinity pool with views of the city and river, an internal lift and a fully-equipped gym. It also contains Saint Lorraine marble flooring from Greece, a climate-controlled wine cellar and a steam room.

The prestige property market in Brisbane has been soaring and does not look like it will stop anytime soon.

Matt Lancashire from Ray White New Farm said, “Towards the end of 2016 we saw a definitely positive shift in the high end luxury market, with a record number of $5 million plus homes transacting.”

“I am predicting a strong finish to the year and seeing no signs of a slow down,” he said.
