Woman “bullied” on plane over budget seating trick

<p dir="ltr">A young woman has recalled a flight from hell when she was “bullied” by a couple who were trying to utilise a seating hack that went viral on TikTok. </p> <p dir="ltr">The solo traveller took to Reddit to recount the story and ask social media users if she was in the wrong for her action. </p> <p dir="ltr">The woman began by saying she usually pays more to select her plane seat ahead of time, but a medical emergency on another plane had her waiting on standby and left with no option other than to sit in a middle seat.</p> <p dir="ltr">When she was finally able to board, she was greeted by a couple who had purchased both the window and aisle seats in a bid to have more space, utilising a travel “trick” that has been popular on TikTok.</p> <p dir="ltr">The method, which has been dubbed the 'poor man's business class', usually leaves travellers with an empty middle seat and more space, and few travellers opt to pick a middle seat. </p> <p dir="ltr">“When I got to my row the man and woman were chatting and sharing a snack... it was obvious they were together. I mentioned to the man that I'm in the middle, and he got up to let me in,” the unsuspecting traveller wrote on Reddit.  </p> <p dir="ltr">“I asked them if they would prefer to sit together, I said I was totally okay with that. The woman reacted rudely to this and said ‘you're not supposed to be sitting here anyway’.”</p> <p dir="ltr">After noticing how the plane was full, she offered to show the pair her new ticket with the correct seat number on it.</p> <p dir="ltr">“She flicked her hand at my ticket and made a disgusted sound. I offered again if they wanted to sit together to which she didn't reply, her partner said it's okay and... made some small talk,” she continued. </p> <p dir="ltr">The man’s girlfriend then interrupted their conversation to ask,”'Did you use one of those third party websites to book your flight? It's so frustrating when people cheap out to inconvenience others.”</p> <p dir="ltr">The American woman explained that she had booked her flight directly and she had been placed on standby like everyone else and didn't choose the middle seat - she was assigned it.</p> <p dir="ltr">She then tried to keep the peace by refusing to engage with the furious woman.  </p> <p dir="ltr">“I was so done with her attitude, I put my headphones on and attempted to do my own thing,” she explained.</p> <p dir="ltr">But the “entitled” girlfriend wasn't letting it go, as the woman explained, “This woman kept reaching over me and tapping her partner and trying to talk to him in a way that was super intrusive.”</p> <p dir="ltr">“I could tell even her partner was trying to engage her less so that she would hopefully stop, but she didn't.”</p> <p dir="ltr">“I think they tried to pull that tactic where they don't sit together on purpose...hoping no one will sit between them. But on full flights it doesn't work. And even so - it's not the other person's fault.”</p> <p dir="ltr">The traveller's post was met with hundreds of comments slamming the girlfriend’s behaviour, as one person wrote, “It's like a toddler having a tantrum.”</p> <p dir="ltr">“She was disappointed and a total a**hole. Gross entitled people,” another added. </p> <p dir="ltr">Another person applauded the traveller’s level-headed behaviour, writing, “Wow! "Heartbroken and blindsided": The Beast's ex-girlfriend opens up about split

<p>The ex-girlfriend of <em>The Chase</em> star Mark Labbett, also known as The Beast, has opened up about her high-profile break-up with the TV star, slamming his behaviour in the last weeks of their relationship. </p> <p>Hayley Palmer, an entertainment news presenter, announced her <a href="https://oversixty.com.au/lifestyle/relationships/mark-the-beast-labbett-s-girlfriend-drops-major-relationship-bombshell" target="_blank" rel="noopener">split</a> from Labbett just days after their one year anniversary, sharing the news on Instagram in May. </p> <p>Now, in an interview with <a href="https://www.thesun.co.uk/tv/28526452/mark-beast-labbett-hayley-palmer-split/" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><em>The Sun</em></a> newspaper, Palmer took aim at Labbett and his alleged handling of their split, saying she had been “blindsided” by their break-up, and shared how he had lived up to his name as The Beast.</p> <p>“It has come as a complete shock. I thought we were really happy,” she said.</p> <p>“I’m heartbroken and blindsided. His behaviour has been beastly.”</p> <p>Palmer went on to say that Labbett dumped her over a callous three-minute phone call, and said their breakup came because The Beast did not want to formally divorce his ex-wife Katie, who is also his second cousin. </p> <p>She went on to say that before their shock split, Mark — who has a seven-year-old son with his former wife — had even suggested they move in together.</p> <p>But in the days following, a phone call came from Labbett to end their relationship. </p> <p>Struggling to hold back tears, Hayley told the publication, “The call started off as a normal conversation.  He was spending time with his son and we’d had a conversation about me joining them at a water park."</p> <p>“Then he said, ‘I don’t know how to tell you this, but you were right. I don’t want to divorce my ex-wife’.</p> <div> <div id="articlempu"></div> </div> <p>“The shock of the way he said it was so brutally cold and not the Mark I know. I thought he was a gentle giant, so this was the complete opposite. He was as cold as ice."</p> <p>“The phone went from my hands, I just hung up on him. I ended up walking around for three hours not knowing where I was going."</p> <p>“I’ll never get over the shock of that, I’m still in shock now. Mark 'The Beast' Labbett's girlfriend drops major relationship bombshell

<p>Just days after their one year anniversary, Mark 'The Beast' Labbett and his girlfriend Hayley Palmer have shared a major relationship update. </p> <p>Labbett, 58, and Palmer, 42, met at the UK National Television Awards in 2022, and later became a couple.</p> <p>But now, less than one week after celebrating their one year anniversary, the couple have announced their separation. </p> <p>Palmer, an entertainment news presenter, shared the news of their split on Instagram, shocking fans everywhere. </p> <p>“It is with regret I announce that myself and Mark have gone our separate ways," she began.</p> <p>"We had the best year together, and I truly wish him all the very best for the future. Off I go to listen to Taylor Swift.” </p> <p>Hayley also added the heartbreak emoji at the end of the message.</p> <p>The couple had been together for just over a year and posted Instagram photos to mark their anniversary after spending the day together at the beach where they spent their first date.</p> <p>However, just days later, the couple opened up about some issues they have been facing in their relationship. </p> <p>In an appearance on UK talk show <em>Loose Women</em>, Labbett, star of <em>The Chase Australia</em>, said, “The difficult thing is, we live quite a bit apart. Love is in the air! Pilot proposes to flight attendant girlfriend before take off

<p>A pilot has proposed to his flight attendant girlfriend just minutes before take off in a heart-warming display of love. </p> <p>Polish pilot Konrad Hanc was captured emerging from the cockpit before embarking on a flight to Kraków to make a surprising announcement over the PA system. </p> <p>Hanc introduced himself to the passengers before explaining the real reason for his message. </p> <p>“On today’s flight there is a very special person," he began.</p> <p>“Ladies and gentlemen, about one and a half years ago in this job I met the most wonderful person that completely changed my life."</p> <p>“You are most precious to me. You are my greatest dream come true. "Missing her already": The Chase star confirms long-rumoured romance

<p><em>The Chase</em> star Mark Labbett has confirmed his long-rumoured romance, sharing sweet snaps to Instagram of the happy couple. </p> <p>Labbett, known as The Beast on the UK quiz show, confirmed his relationship with British TV presenter and producer Hayley Palmer, who joined Labbett in Los Angeles recently, where he is filming the US version of <em>The Chase</em> and a separate game show, <em>Master Minds</em>. </p> <p>When Palmer’s short trip came to an end, Labbett shared a snap of him and his girlfriend together, confirming the romance that has long sparked rumours. </p> <p>“It was Hayley’s last day today. Russell Crowe and girlfriend denied entry at restaurant

<p>Actor Russell Crowe and his girlfriend Britney Theriot were refused entry at a Melbourne restaurant for not meeting the smart-casual dress code, according to a report.</p> <p>The pair went to eat at Mr Myagi, a Japanese-fusion establishment in Melbourne, wearing outfits they had played tennis in earlier that day, and the staff were quick to deny them entry.</p> <p>“He went there wearing a brand new Ralph Lauren polo, having just played a game of tennis and was turned away,” Crowe’s manager Grant Vandenberg told the Daily Mail Australia.</p> <p>Mr Miyagi describes itself as “casual but fancy” where “work gear, activewear, singlets, and thongs” are forbidden.</p> <p>The restaurant’s management doubled down on their decision to deny the pair service, saying no one is above their rules.</p> <p>“We treat everyone the same. It doesn’t matter who you are or if you are Russell Crowe. We’ve got a dress code that we push across every level,” restaurant owner Kristian Klein told The Herald Sun.</p> <p>“We are consistent with it and I don’t feel like it’s unreasonable," Klein added. “But I know personally if I’m in my thongs and my boardies, I’m not going to try and go to a nice restaurant, because I wouldn’t be dressed appropriately.”</p> <p>Klein said the staff member that denied Crowe’s entry did not know who the Gladiator actor was, and it was a “very unfortunate situation for everyone”.</p> <p>The restaurant had some fun with the situation, posting an updated dress code policy on Instagram.</p> <p>“Dress smart casual, unless you’re Russell Crowe, then wear whatevs,” the sign read.</p> <p>Mr Myiagi also addressed Crowe to clear the air.</p> <p>“Dear Russell, During your last visit it seems we got off on the wrong foot. After much reflection on what occurred, we have made a permanent change to our dress code,” the caption read. “We would love to see you again in the future, you’re always welcome at Mr. Miyagi.”</p> <p>According to the Daily Mail, radio broadcaster Steve Price and his partner were turned away from Mr Miyagi just days later for the same reason.</p> <p>Crowe has now joined the list of recent A-listers who were denied service from restaurants.</p> <p>Talk show host James Corden was banned from Balthazar, Keith McNally’s restaurant in Manhattan, in October 2022 after he allegedly mistreated the restaurant’s staff.</p> <p>Other celebrities that have been turned away from establishments include Ariana Grande, who was banned from a California doughnut shop after being seen on a surveillance camera licking unattended pastries.</p> <p><em>Image credit: Getty</em></p>

<p>Rebel Wilson has shared that her girlfriend's family has not been "accepting" of their relationship.</p> <p>In a candid interview with the <em>Life Uncut</em> podcast, the Aussie actress admitted that Ramona Agruma's family have had a difficult time coming to terms with their almost year-long relationship. </p> <p>"My family has been so amazing. Ramona's family hasn't been as accepting. In many respects it's been a lot harder on her," Rebel told hosts Brittany Hockley and Laura Byrne.</p> <p>"With her, she's not in the public eye, it's much harder on her. It's so sad to see what happened with her family over it. "A lot of distress": Rebel Wilson discusses being "outed" by media outlet

<p>Rebel Wilson has opened up about her "pain" and distress" over being outed by a Sydney Morning Herald reporter. </p> <p>The publication was condemned by the Australian Press Council for “outing” her relationship with girlfriend Ramona Agruma, prompting Rebel to break her silence on the ordeal. </p> <p>The actress slammed the “grubby” behaviour of the journalist in question, sharing the “pain” of having to announce her new relationship prematurely.</p> <p>The 42-year-old announced her relationship with the American fashion designer Agruma in June, one month after publicly revealing she was “happily in a relationship”.</p> <p>After making the announcement, Sydney Morning Herald gossip columnist Andrew Hornery called out the actress who “opted to gazump the story”.</p> <p>Horney claimed he contacted the actress and gave her two days to comment before he would out her and publish a story on her same-sex relationship.</p> <p>The Sydney Morning Herald have since removed the article, calling it a "big mistake" to publish the article.</p> <p>Wilson stayed silent until the Australian Press Council condemned the publication, stating that the article was “likely to cause substantial offence and distress”.</p> <p>“Just seeing the news that the Australian Press Council has condemned the Sydney Morning Herald and their journalists for their recent grubby behaviour in trying to out my same-sex relationship,” Wilson began in an Instagram post.</p> <p>“And while I didn’t personally ask for any action to be taken I am glad that this has been officially recorded and recognised.”</p> <p>“Their actions did cause Ramona and I a lot of distress and while we’ve remained classy, there are still pains from having to rush this news publicly which we are dealing with,” she continued.</p> <p>“We move on, focusing on all the absolutely amazing new things in our life though! Sending love to everyone 💗 #loveislove,” her post ended.</p> <p>The ruling from the Australian Press Council deemed that the publication had breached the council’s principles.</p> <p>“The tenor of the publication’s communications with Ms Wilson concerning a deeply personal matter, and the associated commentary on a matter which had no apparent connection to her public activities, intruded on her reasonable expectations of privacy,” a statement said, published on the Herald’s website.</p> <p><em>Image credits: Getty Images</em></p>

<p>Russell Crowe has made his red carpet debut with his much younger new girlfriend, as the pair attended the premiere for Crowe's new film.</p> <p>The 58-year-old actor made an appearance at the premiere screening for <em>Poker Face</em> in Italy, as he stopped and posed for photos with his new partner, 31-year-old Britney Theriot.</p> <p>According to reports from <a href="https://pagesix.com/2022/10/17/russell-crowe-makes-red-carpet-debut-with-britney-theriot/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Page Six</a>, the pair shied away from any serious public displays of affection, instead wrapping their arms around each other and smiling to each other lovingly.</p> <p>This is the first time the couple have been seen in public together since rumours of their relationship began as Theriot, also an actress, is notoriously private about her personal life.</p> <p>Russell and Britney first sparked romance rumours in November 2020 when they were spotted kissing during a heated round of tennis.</p> <p>The rumour mill began again in February 2021, as they seemed to be going strong when they were seen playing tennis together again in Australia.</p> <p>Crowe was previously married to Danielle Spencer, with whom he has two sons: Charles, 18, and Tennyson, 16.</p> <p>He and Spencer, also an actress, married in 2003 but separated in 2012.</p> <p><em>Image credits: Getty Images</em></p>

<p>Leonard DiCaprio fans everywhere are having the last laugh as the famed actor has ended his four-year relationship with model girlfriend Camilla Morrone.</p> <p>Having a track record of exclusively dating women under 25, the 47-year-old ended his relationship quietly, earlier this summer, according to a source close to the couple.</p> <p>DiCaprio and Morrone began dating in 2017 when she was 20 years old, making their awards show debut at the 2020 Oscars.</p> <p>Morrone at the time defended their 23-year age difference, telling the Los Angeles Times in 2019, “There’s so many relationships in Hollywood — and in the history of the world — where people have large age gaps. <p dir="ltr">A man has been left reeling after his ex-girlfriend graffitied his expensive Mercedes after he cheated on her. </p> <p dir="ltr">The Melbourne man was about to leave his home when he saw the words “CHEATER” and “LIAR” spray painted in red on his Mercedes-Benz ML320.</p> <p dir="ltr">On the bonnet, the livid ex-girlfriend had also spray painted “ALL MEN R TRASH”.</p> <p dir="ltr">A neighbour who spotted the man’s shocked face joked that he had “pi**ed off the wrong person”.</p> <p dir="ltr">The man then jumped into his car and drove off, presumably to a car wash to help remove the graffiti. </p> <p dir="ltr">It's not quite the first time women have gotten back at their cheating partners by vandalising their cars. </p> <p dir="ltr">In 2018, an Adelaide woman spray painted the words “cheater”, “man wh***” and “sl**” on her ex-boyfriend's luxury $400,000 car.</p> <p dir="ltr">She also used a steel baseball bat and smashed the driver’s side window with such force that the mirror also fell off. </p> <p dir="ltr"><em>Images: Pedestrian TV</em></p>

Who is Elon Musk's new Australian girlfriend?

Man destroys girlfriend’s family heirloom, doesn’t understand why she’s upset

<p dir="ltr">A man has been left scratching his head after online commentators tore him to shreds for destroying a family heirloom belonging to his girlfriend.</p> <p dir="ltr">The man posted to Reddit’s ‘Am I the A******’ forum, where people go to ask strangers to adjudicate their interpersonal disputes, deciding who was in the wrong in any given situation.</p> <p dir="ltr">This man wanted to propose to his girlfriend using a ring that had sentimental value, so when he found out that her late grandmother had left her a ring, he decided to remove a diamond from the ring and use that in a new engagement ring.</p> <p dir="ltr">Unfortunately, when he proposed with the new ring, the girlfriend hated it. Her grandmother had only recently passed away in September, and the pair were close as she was her only granddaughter.</p> <p dir="ltr">The man asked his girlfriend’s mother if she thought his idea was a good one, and the mother said that as much as she loved the idea, she didn’t know if her daughter would, and told him to think about it.</p> <p dir="ltr">Despite this caution, he went ahead with his plan, as he “couldn’t find anything else [he] liked as much”. He said that the resulting ring was beautiful, and he thought she would love the sentiment of it.</p> <p dir="ltr">When he proposed and she immediately accepted, he was thrilled, until she saw the ring and her reaction changed. He wrote, “She told me I’d practically vandalized and ruined the only meaningful thing of her grandmothers that she had and that I should have asked. I went to her mom for support, but she just kept saying she warned me that my girlfriend might not like the idea. She said yes to my proposal but refuses to wear the ring, which I just think is disrespectful considering how much money and thought went into it.”</p> <p dir="ltr">Commenters were quick to side with the now-fiancée, with one writing “YOU DESTROYED her one family heirloom! Girlfriend of Maddy McCann suspect reveals key detail

<p>The former girlfriend of a suspect in the Madeleine McCann case has revealed a bombshell admission he once made to her. </p> <p>German sex offender Christian Brueckner has long been thew sole suspect in the abduction of three-year-old Madeleine, and in 2014, he made a chilling remark to his girlfriend Nakscije Miftari. </p> <p>While at a party in their German apartment, Maddy's disappearance was brought up, prompting Christian to fall silent. </p> <p><span>"I remember he made no answer to the question," she told </span><a rel="nofollow noopener" href="https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-10172917/Madeleine-McCann-suspect-Christian-Brueckner-told-girlfriend-near-holiday-villa.html?ito=social-facebook&amp;fbclid=IwAR1w2DEawHqx8pqUjKrQrar2Y1Fwabok91QC1eURmgQfG2INeC5KV5uK4aQ" target="_blank" class="link rapid-noclick-resp" data-ylk="slk:The Mail on Sunday">The Mail on Sunday</a><span> in an exclusive interview.</span></p> <p><span>Ms Miftari said she pressed Brueckner on Madeleine's disappearance after their guests had left, prompting him to open up about what he knew.</span><span></span></p> <p><span>"He said, 'I know about Maddie, I was near the hotel at the time. REVEALED: Horrific texts between dad and girlfriend hours before son dies

<p><em><strong>Warning: This story contains graphic content relating to child abuse which may distress some readers.</strong></em></p> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Messages between a UK man and his partner accused of child cruelty have been <a rel="noopener" href="https://www.news.com.au/lifestyle/real-life/news-life/dad-talked-about-digging-sons-grave-in-texts-before-murder/news-story/1fe1500c080d5cae27d4676e4f234421" target="_blank">heard in court today</a>, including threats to end his six-year-old son’s life just two days before his death.</span></p> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Thomas Hughes sent a text to partner Emma Tustin about digging the little boy’s grave after Tustin claimed Arthur Labinjo-Hughes was misbehaving.</span></p> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Coventry Crown Court also heard that Hughes also said, “Kid’s getting ended when I’m back”, and that he would “take his neck off”.</span></p> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The messages came after Tustin took Arthur to a hair appointment at friend Catherine Milhench’s home on June 17 last year, just two days before he died.</span></p> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Jurors were told that stepmum Tustin complained to Hughes, saying that she “had to tell Arthur off” in front of Catherine’s partner Tobias Jarman.</span></p> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">“Ask T [Tobias] to dig Arthur’s grave for me please,” Hughes replied.</span></p> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">When Tustin said Hughes would have to “pay double”, Hughes said: “F**k me I’ll pay quadruple”.</span></p> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Tustin continued to complain about Arthur on June 15 in further messages.</span></p> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">“Backchatting me for joke threw himself on the floor shouting abuse. Still screaming,” she wrote in one message.</span></p> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Hughes replied: “Just gag him or something. Images: Supplied</span></em></p> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">They previously heard audio clips of Athur sobbing while being allegedly abused, which had been recorded by Tustin.</span></p> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">In another recording for his uncle Blake, the boy can be heard saying: “Blake no-one loves me, Blake no-one loves me.”</span></p> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Crying in another clip, he repeated the phrase, “Daddy’s going to throw me out the window” multiple times.</span></p> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Arthur was treated in a way that matched the “medical definition of child torture” prior to his death, and was deprived of food, a bed, and clothes.</span></p> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Jurors heard that he was found unresponsive at home in Solihull on June 16 last year.</span></p> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Arthur passed away in hospital the following day, with a post-mortem examination determining his death was caused by a “head trauma inflicted on him by an adult” that was consistent with being “vigorously shaken and his head banged repeatedly against a hard surface”.</span></p> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Doctors also reported that he had been “poisoned with salt” and was covered with bruises.</span></p> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The court was told that Tustin took more than 22 photos and videos of Arthur following the incident.</span></p> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Prosecutors said that Tusin took 12 minutes to call emergency services after she allegedly assaulted him, despite having her phone.</span></p> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">They said she told paramedics Arthur “fell and banged his head and while on the floor banged his head another five times”.</span></p> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Tustin and Hughes have been accused with multiple counts of child cruelty following their “systematic, cruel behaviour” and abuse in the weeks before he died.</span></p> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">One witness told the court that Arthur was “too weak” to hold a glass of water to his mouth.</span></p> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">They said his “clothes looked dirty, his lips cracked, he could barely open his mouth to speak, his hair was dirty, his nails were dirty and he looked malnourished, gaunt and worn-out”.</span></p> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">“Both defendants participated in a campaign of cruelty intended to cause Arthur significant harm and suffering,” Prosecutor Jonas Hankin QC said.</span></p> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">“Violence and intimidation, both physical and verbal, were routine.</span></p> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">“Arthur’s visible injuries, his miserable physical condition and obvious despair provided each defendant with a daily reminder of the lengths to which the other would go to cause him harm.”</span></p> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Jurors were told that Arthur died three months after he and his father moved into Tustin’s move, after he had been placed in Hughes care after his mum was jailed for 18 years for stabbing her boyfriend to death.</span></p> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Children’s social services and police were contacted by Arthur’s grandmother in April 2020, as she expressed concerns over his care after seeing bruises on his back and Tustin was seen shoving him headfirst into the stairs.</span></p> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">However, “no concerns were raised” after children’s services saw Arthur on April 17, and no further action was taken.</span></p> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Tustin has admitted to child cruelty by “forcing him to stand, isolating him within the family home, and physically or verbally intimidating him”.</span></p> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Hughes has denied a similar charge.</span></p> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Both also deny they murdered him or an allegation of child cruelty by feeding him salt.</span></p> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">They are jointly accused of two counts of child cruelty by assault on multiple occasions, as well as by withholding food and/or drink.</span></p> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The trial is ongoing.</span></p> <p><em><span style="font-weight: 400;">If you or someone you know is experiencing sexual or physical abuse, contact Lifeline on 13 11 14 or Kids Helpline on 1800 551 800.</span></em></p> <p><em><span style="font-weight: 400;">Image: Supplied</span></em></p>

Simon Baker debuts relationship with 36-year-old designer

<p>Simon Baker has debuted his relationship with fellow Aussie Laura May Gibbs.</p> <p>People reported the 51-year-old was spotted with the activewear designer, 36, at a beach off the NSW town of Byron Bay.</p> <p>Gibbs is the founder of fashion and lifestyle brand Nagnata, a creative design collaborative with her sister Hannah Gibbs.</p> <p>In January, The Mentalist star announced his separation from Aussie actress Rebecca Rigg, 53, his wife of close to 30 years.</p> <p>They share three children together: Stella, 27, Claude, 22, and Harry, 19.</p> <p>"We remain close friends and our three children will always be the most important focus of our lives," the couple — who met in the early 1990s and starred on the Aussie soap<span> </span><em>E Street</em><span> </span>together — said in a joint statement at the time.</p>

Prince Harry’s ex-girlfriend breaks her silence

<p>Cressida Bonas has broken her silence on her ex-boyfriend Prince Harry’s decision to step back from his royal duties with his wife Meghan.</p> <p>In an interview with <em><a href="https://www.standard.co.uk/lifestyle/esmagazine/cressida-bonas-interview-selfdoubt-and-overcoming-labels-a4335111.html">ES Magazine</a></em>, the English actress and model – who dated Prince Harry from 2012 to 2014 – was asked if she related to the Duchess Meghan’s struggle with public scrutiny.</p> <p>Bonas declined to comment “out of respect” for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.</p> <p>“I wouldn’t take a position on that because it would be a headline,” Bonas said.</p> <p>“I want to talk about my work. And also out of respect. What’s the expression? How would I feel if the shoe was on the other foot and it was an ex talking about me? It feels like a long time ago, so when it comes up it feels strange because I’m in a very different place now – I’m getting married, I’ve learned a lot. I’m much more comfortable in my own skin. I’m growing.”</p> <p>Bonas said despite having broken up with the Prince six years ago, she still found herself courting questions about their relationship.</p> <p>“The hurdles and barriers for me are when I’m trying to do my work and people want to talk about him,” the 30-year-old said.</p> <p>“I work very hard and love what I do – I just want to continue. But it is still something I have to contend with.”</p> <p>Bonas, the granddaughter of Edward Curzon, 6th Earl Howe, has remained friends with Prince Harry and attended his wedding in 2018. Got some specific questions to ask you about Virginia Roberts,” Prince Andrew wrote to Maxwell.</p> <p>She replies: “Have some info – call me when you have a moment.”</p> <p>Panorama<span> </span>reported that three days letter, Prince Andrew was sent a “dossier of inconsistences and inaccuracies in articles” about Giuffre.</p> <p><strong>Virginia Giuffre recalls night she was given order to have sex with Queen’s son</strong></p> <p>The documentary included an interview with Giuffre, who recalled the night she met Prince Andrew as they went to a nightclub.</p> <p>“It was horrible, and this guy was sweating all over me, I mean his sweat … it was raining, basically, everywhere … and I was just grossed out from it,” she said.</p> <p>“But I knew I had to keep him happy because that’s what Jeffrey (Epstein) and Ghislaine (Maxwell) would expect from me.”</p> <p>She also explained that it was in the car ride to Maxwell’s London home that she was told to have sex with Prince Andrew.</p> <p>“In the car, Ghislaine tells me that I have to do for Andrew what I do for Jeffrey — and that just made me sick,” she told the BBC.</p> <p>“I just didn’t expect it from royalty. I didn’t expect it from someone people look up to and admire in the royal family.”</p> <p>Giuffree goes into explicit detail of the night that she alleges she was made to have sex with Prince Andrew.</p> <p>“It was disgusting. He wasn’t mean or anything,” she said.</p> <p>“He got up and he said ‘thanks’ and walked out and I just sat there in bed, just horrified and ashamed and felt dirty and had to get up and have a shower,” she explained.</p> <p>Giuffre also explained the impact that having sex with the Queen’s son had on her mental health.</p> <p>“It was a wicked time in my life, it was a really scary time. I had just been abused by a member of a royal family — so when you talk about these chains, yeah, I wasn’t chained to the sink, but these powerful people were my chains. I didn’t know what could happen.</p> <p>“I couldn’t comprehend how in the highest levels of the government, powerful people were allowing this to happen. Not only allowing it to happen but participating in it.”</p> <p><strong>Prince Andrew declines to answer questions from BBC</strong></p> <p>The documentary explained that the BBC reached out with detailed questions to Prince Andrew, but he declined to answer. However, a statement was provided to the organisation.</p> <p>“The Duke of York unequivocally regrets his ill-judged association with Jeffrey Epstein. Epstein’s suicide left many unanswered questions, particularly for his victims,” the statement said.</p> <p>“The duke deeply sympathises with those affected who want some form of closure.</p> <p>“It is his hope that, in time, they will be able to rebuild their lives. The duke is willing to help any appropriate law enforcement agency with their investigations, if required.”</p> </div>
