Cruise ship negotiates challenging hairpin turn
When we’re relaxing on a deckchair or pigging out at the buffet it can be easy to forget how much skill and work is required to navigate a cruise ship safety.
In this video we’re given a rare insight into the control room of the Azamara Journey, which must navigate tight turns and strong currents to reach Ho Chi Minh City. The manoeuvrers are complicated so the captain hands over controls to a local pilot.
