Historic black-and-white photos of America restored in colour

Black-and-white photographs depicting life in America at the turn of the 20th century have been restored in colour – and the results are striking.

Using a technique pioneered by Photoglob Zürich AG, which sees colour manually added to black-and-white negatives, the following images come alive in, showing the realities of life in the America at the turn of the century.
